Well if I do host the tourney at the same location as the Candian Open (which is looking very likely) then we will be able to buy beer upstairs and then bring it down. Sorry, no kegs in the tourney! We will save that one for when Rod hosts a tourney! (and then GOD help us all!)

Edit - however, maybe the Q'ermitt can also be known for hosting the side tourney of the Stunty-Free-For-All and the Drunking Binge! If you guys are up for it, then I will get a trophy together for the event!

That sounds cool...but if it is in the stunty context...you might have to make it first finished beer wins. Smile

side tourney of the Stunty-Free-For-All

What would this be? Do we need to bring two teams?

After much thought, i've decided to go with the Dwarves to play in this tournament.

The main deciding factor was that it would only be right that they be present to defend their Championship, plus dwarves ROCK!!!

Can you say repeat?

Who dares stand in the way of the dwarf GIANTS.

ANNOUNCEMENT -

In a continuing show of support for this tourney, Torpor has just informed me that he will be donating another prize to this year's Challenge of Q'ermitt.

Those of you who attended last year will remember that Torpor donated a lego dugout to the tourney complete with the Reserves, KO, and Injured boxes, turn and reroll counters and whole lot of special pieces that really gave the whole piece an excellent Blood Bowl feel.

Torpot has not told me what prize he will be dontaing for this year yet, but whatever it is I would like to offer my public acknowledgement and gratitude.

Okay, the date and place are booked!

I have booked the same room that was used for the Canadian Open which was at the Monte Carlo Inn, Brampton Suites. This is on Airport Road, just south of Highway#7.

The dates are July 22-23rd, which is the Saturday and Sunday.

Hope this helps some more people to decide on whether or not they can make it. But for those who did not make it out to the Canadian Open, let me tell you that Ben Tusim really found a GREAT location for a BB tournament, especially for those out of towners who can stay in the hotel above!

Hope to see you out there!

As I am putting together some rules for the orc stadium, I remember that there were some people who mentioned that some of the rules were not as clear and some could even use a little tweaking for the custom boards. If anyone remembers anything about this, please get back to me, either on this thread or PM me.

Thanks,

Spazz

What would people think of a five game tourney - this way we can finish up in mid afternoon on Sunday and have everybody home at a decent hour.

My main objective with running the tourney is to satsify the wishes and needs of the attendees. Seeing as many people at last year's Q'ermitt came from quite a distance I would like to factor that into this year's event. Rather than start a separate poll thread, maybe people could answer me here. All thoughts are welcome - from both the local and distant attendees.

I'm ok with a 5 game tourney in this format.

BTW, I'm bringing chaos.

I would prefer 6 games with 4 games being on day 1.

I was thinking of this format for the next Canadian Open.

4 games on day 1 would work but time would have to be strictly enforced.

I'd prefer 6 games myself, but either format will work for me.
