Just a quick note from the two of us to let you know that Renee gave birth
to Freya Erin Williams at 4am this morning (Fri 17th March). Freya was a
beautiful and healthy 2.66kg (5lbs, 14 oz), and 47.5cm long with a head
diameter of 31.5cm. The labour was extremely quick with Renee's waters
breaking at 0:55am and the 1st contraction at 1:15 - so only 2:45 for our
first child. Quick enough that when I called (for the 3rd time) to say we
were coming in the midwife tried to put me off saying we should take our
time and were likely to get sent home! By the time we reached the hospital
she was already fully dilated. Renee is doing very well and didn't require
anything other than some gas.
Once she's back from hospital I'll start on the painting lessons...  |

Yep, and she was born on a Friday too (which is Freya Day). |

Definately congratulations are in order. Let us know how the sleep goes. Might even ring sometime and see if visiting and sharing 'oohs and aahs' over the baby is possible  |
