P.S Sorry to BB_Babe for one of the nastiest alliances i have ever seen in DeathBowl you surely would have won if not for Clan-Skaven's evil genius. 3 skaven vs. Necro it really was RatFest.
Ratfest final 2-2-2-2, now thats a fun game of DB
Oh, I know! And he started helping your Necro against me from the get go. I think we should vote him out of the Clan
But Rob, having come frm behind 2-2-1-0 at the start of overtime to tie it all up for the grandest RatFest, you really should change your zombie figs to zombie rats. Necro Butchers is an honorary Skaven team now
Cheers,
Mo
I 2nd that!

Rob, the way you play, I dunno if Skaven are for you. I know how you like get in a dust up... The cute little furry guys break a little easier than what you are used to... |

I find it kinda odd that even though my final record of 2 wins 2 ties & 2 losses was a better record than my 3 opponents who were all 2 wins 1 tie & 3 losses, I was below them all in the final standings.
.......................................................................................W-L-T
Rob Keefe.....................................necromantic.......309... 2-3-1
Maureen Reddington-Wilde.............skaven............295... 2-3-1
Anthony Frainetti............................skaven.............291... 2-3-1
Rod Davidson.................................skaven.............289... 2-2-2
I'm not whining don't get me wrong it just makes me wonder is there a better systym for doing final standings....

Factored into my score was a knock-down blow-out win against the Elves, the 3 losses were all held close, and the maximum painting points.
The scoring system used didn't penalise close losses any more then a draw. This helps more people stay in the running. So the four of us were essentially 2-4-x, plus the various fudge factors. We went into the Deathbowl round as the middle-of the [rat] pack table, and with our historic 4-way, 8-goal tie, kept it that way. (You rat traitor!)
I repeated this performance at the ArisiaBowl, at least I'm consistant at bashing elves and fighting tooth and claw to keep it close against the bashier teams -- I'm working now on more consistant tactics to take the ball away from the ard teams.

Yeah. 3 points for a win, 1 point for a tie, and 0 points for a loss. TDs, casualties, and all that other GARBAGE should be used for tie breakers only.
Of course, I have been saying that for as long as I have been a NAF member, but who listens to me anyway...

Did you say something Garth
The DB points system is deliberatly slanted towards keeping people in the running rather than getting dumped by one bad game. The key difference comes in how well you win your games or how baly you lose. A one TD loss gets you the same points as a tie. That's why you ranked lower Rod. You didn't have as many big wins. |
