I'll see if I can find something.
Rob lives relatively close to it. Can you check out the museum shop at the Liberty Bell Center?
I'm still trying to figure out why the Liberty Bell Museum in in Connecticut when the Liberty Bell is in Phildelphia. Very confusing.
(Certainl makes my jibe a couple of posts earlier look a little silly ) |

It looks like we have pretty solid 3 from Boston, but one of our folk would really like to make sure we have a full team before driving all the way. Are the 2 New Yorkers pretty solid and want to join together? Can we officially declare this the New England team?
Cheers,
Maureen |

Is there a list of all the teams that are attending on who is on which team?
If this is posted somewhere, then please let me know!

I would like to do that, otherwise I do not think we will go. I'll PM you to work out the details.

you gotta hunt through this thread....
but :
DC Team,
Harrisburg Team,
Philly Team,
New England teams are now full.
Canada looks like it's down to 3....so needs two players.
There also is the Ronin team with possibly 3 harrisburg players atm. so we need 4? more Official players I believe. |

I'm pretty sure we will have 6-7 that I know who are willing to play. I'm just waiting to hear back from them. I'm also checking with some other stores to see if there are any interested players that I don't know yet. |

yep, we're lining up some replacements as we go. Just gotta evaluate their blood bowl skills and they're partying skills.
Baring that, I'll play 3 games at once. |

So Ben is going to be coming out then? I was scanning some of the earlier posts and found that ther was talk of Kolja and Anthony coming out, but the rumour was that Ben was not coming. So now there is a complete turnaround, eh?
You seem pretty focussed on the idea of Blood Bowl skills there Paul. If this is a hint that you do not want me on the team then that's fine, I will see about putting together team TUNA! And then we will smoke you all!

I hear ya about that late finishing time on Sunday. I'm not too thrilled about that myself. I'll be looking at the actual situation on Saturday and seeing what I can do about that. I've got a 9 hour drive home myself so getting done earlier is of fair interest to me as well.
If we could squeeze in 4 rounds on Sat and 2 on Sun, that would make the Sunday drving much better. With no OT, that should be feasable. |

I wouldn't say the event isn't open to newbies but it is geared towards the more tournament savvy player. It's not something I'd normally do but it is after all the only event of it's type and it's supposed to be a practice run for the World Cup next March.
Hmmm. The idea for this tourney was announced before the world cup. I had thought the basic idea for this was to be a more light-hearted version of the Euro Cup. I have a couple of fully detailed teams, so its not a personal issue for me. But especially given the short notice between publishing the TRB (and the first mention of the hardcore painting rule) and the tourney -- this rule does make it difficult to sort our choices within each team and get 5 different fully detailed teams. That's a bad logistical crunch that came out of the blue. The NE team now only has 2.5 weeks to try to make sure everyone has a team they want to play and that's fully painted.
And philosophically, I'd rather see this as a lighter event open to anyone who would like to try to cobble a team together.
Anyone planning on going to the World Cup has plenty of notice to start getting their figures ready.
I'd request that this rule get dropped. Use the usual painting points as a tie-breaker if needed.
Cheers,
Maureen |
