It is stated in the rules that the MVP award CAN got a player that was killed during the match (it is awarded post-humously).
When a player is killed, your TR goes down. When you add a player it goes up.
So if you replace a dead player his cost (and SPPs) are removed, and then the TR for the replacement is added. Depending on how skilled the player was when the player died, it could cause a dip in your TR. |

And the MVP stays on the dead player. So does not get given to a new player!
I know someone who actually tried to get away with giving a rookie his recent predecesors MVP! Needless we shouted him down pretty quick! tsk! Some people! |

Only, TR does not change when you buy a new player, as your treasury is also included in TR (at least in the current LRB). So if you loose player your TR goes down, whether your replace the player or not. |

Depending on what your winnings are for the game!
Sorry, I couldn't resist being pedantic! |

Without looking at the rulebook (as usual!)... is there anyway a dead player could potentially escape the grave i.e. get awarded/roll up regenerate after their demise...you think.. |

Apothecary at the time of death is one way, or regenerating. Regenerate happens when the kill is made, so that would be done immediately. By the time that game is done, dead is dead, and there is no way of changing that.
