i contacted gw about friday and they told me that it will not count for the spike on saturday.
i bought my ticket from gw and was told the friday games are just for fun and all teams will reset for saturday.
i think there is some serious problems between gw and the miss. blood bowl group.
so who is running the tourney... gw or mississauga bb
there is no way for me to get to toronto for friday.
man this sucks.
what is the official word on all of this
taxal
I don't know what the official word is, but I got a few unofficial words for ya about it. This might not be the correct place for those as I do not wish to offend anyone involved in orginizing the event. |

wow what a load of sh** this is, seriously. I called direct services, and the only info they had was that it was going to be the 3 games on the saturday.... and now its posted in here that its going to be the friday and the saturday, AFTER i spent some cash to buy my ticket....
If GW thinks its cool to just book off a day from work, then I hope they're payen my lost wages....
I love bloodbowl, and I REALLY want to be in the spike tournay * points to ticket* but taken a friday off is not cool, specially when the details you guys were given out were different.
Ah well, good luck to anyone who goes, or baccus let us know the final call

For the record I would not believe a word that GW has said. The people there do not know what the hell is going on, and no offense to any one individual, but the whole place is suffering from a serious lack of communication and high staff turnover doesn't help the problem any.
My guess is that it is as the MOBB boys have stated it to be, and that the GW staff have no clue what they are talking about. It wouldn't be the first time!
But having said that I too would like some clarification...... |

Its up on thier website now, under the news section, and then under gamesday, its bascially an exact copy of what baccus said when he put up the schedule, 3 games on friday, 3 games on saturday, all through the day... |

Hey Paul, sounds like you are coming after all? Seem to recall hearing that you weren't coming - thought it would make my winning the whole thing that much easier! |

Spazz, I'm probably not coming. There are a few people who are interested and if I can get a ride to the event (cause I'm down in the hart of TO) then it might sway me over.
I don't have to worry about the Friday, cause I'm not in class that day, but honestly, GW couldn't find their head with their hands and your help.
Right now, I'm not going, I might go. I might take of for Philly again (have some unsettled business down there) for the Phrakus (I think they're the same weekend) or I might head north to Ottawa for Cangames, or I might just stay at my appartment and drink beer. Honeslty, any one of those four could happen. |

Question abotu the rules to Barracus
You say in the post above that you will play 6 games. But on the download from GW's website, you say that there are 3 games, and the friday games are just a Spike "primer"
which is it? |

Paul,
There is a GO train that comes up right by my place here in Brampton. If you wanted to catch that one in time for me to pick you up and drive you to the tourney, I will be more than happy to do that (provided that you throw any game that we play! )
Spazz
EDIT - I could probably also clear it with Mrs. Spazz to have you stay the night to make transportation to the Saturday event easier. |

I'll see what I can do Spazz, Schools pretty busy too, so I might have to do some responsible stuff. I'll be in touch though.

I contacted Craig Bodycote at Gw and he said the Friday part of the tourney is not going to count at all for the Spike. They are only doing an extra day for the NAF. Now with this I will still be attending with my wife
( Brie ) and two buddys. With that I hope it will go off without any problems
See you all there.

I'm no longer drunk (for now )
So how many games total? 3 for friday 3 for saturday?
The SPIKE is a MAJOR & its being decided with 3 games?
If this is right count me out , GW takes something good and breaks it (GW would reinvent the wheel to a square! )
Oh well, I guess I will never get my BB fix in (unless I make the Pharkus)
