if I knew you could only have made 2 (the DB & another, well the CDN Open has always been successful although past, theres still the Challenge of Q!) "im not going to attempt to spell it Spazz! The Challenge of Q rocks! with all the various pitches & different rules for each pitch (from the grave yard to the boat, the artic to the dessert, the swamp to the lush turf) pluss many more.

the probablem with those is i need to stay overnight and i don't really have the time and cash for that at this time.... i hope in the near future to be able to do that...
so the spike being a one day tourney suited my needs |

Ok well then to Baccus I suggest this as I posted a few posts earlier create a 2nd championship award (although it wont be for the actual SPIKE it will be for those involved in the one day only event.)

I am all for that. Especially since I am only going on Saturday. Then at least I have something to shoot for. |

I would think that the secondary award would be the way to make the best out of a bad situation. |

Well if money is an issue, then there are two options:
1) Book a room in the hotel with a bunch of other guys, this is a popular option.
2) Try to make friends with someone who lives in the area, and mooch accommodations - for this one it helps if you are not terribly annoying or smelly!

I doubt I'm going, but if I do probably Skaven or Lizards (unless I get off my a$$ & get my orcs painted.)

Well if it is not for ranking, then I may bring my gobbos again for some laughs. Or maybe I will see you on that one Taxal, and bring my ogre team "Los Luchadroes"!
If it is ranked, then orcs - which like Rod, will require me to paint. |

Well it looks like if I am playing in this one, I will be the opposite of some of you - I will only be able to make it out for Friday (and that is if I play hooky (sp?) from work!) My son was just informed that he will be going for the test to get his black belt in Tae Kwon Do on the last Saturday of this month (the 27th).
So maybe I can tag-team with someone who is only going to come on Saturday. And let me beat Rod (and Paul, and Ben, and Rob, etc. etc.) to the punch and say that it better be someone who is not too worried about winning the whole thing, as my tourney record does not accurately reflect the Blood Bowl god that I am!
