i agree with spazz on this one..... it takes two to tango and baccuus and gw should take the fall on this one......
if you don't have the time then you should live it to some1 that does....
i would love to organize a tourney but i don't even have to paint my figs so i won't even try............ |

I'm not trying to be a smart-ass and I know I am jumping in on this discussion really late, but I was wondering...could somebody sum up what exactly is wrong with the Spike!, and what was expected of Baccus and/or GW that wasn't fulfilled? I tried reading the thread but it got really confusing... |

gw is having the spike a one day tourney the saturday of gamesday......
baccuus is saying it's a two day tournament friday-saturday......
they can't seem to get things together before they started selling tickets.....
and now baccuus can't be seen anywhere........
the spike got screwed up cause of a lack of communication on every1's part |

I am going to take the advice of my peers on this one and make this years Spike a two day tourney.
Friday will be a Spike Mini! Tournament, while Saturday will be the Spike! itself, following the same rules that I have posted earlier on in the thread.
I thank you all for your comments, and I will take whatever blame comes my way for this. However please keep in mind that I am doing all that I can to put this event into motion, and keep it to what it should be. If I had known that it would be this hectric for me at this point in time I would have done a lot of things differently. However what's done is done, and I hope that everyone can show up at some point over the two days and enjoy what is available.
I am sorry that this event didn't come out the way I had hoped, and I assure you all that your comments and suggestions have been greatly aprreciated.
I hope to see some of you next week.

If Friday doesn't count towards Saturday, than the skills earned on Friday should also not count.
I might show up on Saturday now. Still not 100% sure. But its alot easier for me to get to the MTCC than it is to Oakville |

Baccus,
I know it sucks being on the receiving end of so much flak, but just chalk all this up to experience!
But I believe that while it would be the easiest thing in the world to pass all the blame to GW, that would mean that you are not willing to learn from the mistakes made, and you would be doomed to make some of them again.
I appreciate what you are saying. Good on you.
I wish you all the best next weekend, but as I said before I will not be able to attend.

Baccuus have you entered the tournament into the NAF site yet? Or are you just planning on having it not count? |

Unfortunately YES that is what I am saying. It wouldn't be fair for the ppl only showing on Saturday to face a TR 100 team with three extra skill on them while they are starting fresh. Since this is going to be two tourneys basically, it will be held as two tourneys. New TR 100 teams for both days. |

Hey at least we finally got an answer! Yeah I'm going to agree with everyone and toss some apologies baccuss's way, we blood bowlers can be harsh, but sometimes you got to fess up on some of ur mistakes....
A two seperate tournament is pretty cool, should do well, keep in mind everyone that the saturday is the "REAL" tournament, so that's the one that everyone should be at!
Good luck to anyone who's going! |
