Cool. You want to talk cool. How about having a halfling team as the Death Bowl IV champion. Now that would be cool.
Taxal I won't be supplying Deeproot figs so yes if you take him on your team you'll need a fig to represent him. |

You know what would be cool...
An award for the most halflings KILLED in one turn.
An award for the most halflings KILLED in one half.
An award for the most halflings KILLED in one game.
An award for the most halflings KILLED in the tourney.
Wipe them out. All of them.
No halflings were harmed in the production of this post.
Although the author wishes that several had been. |

Hmm not a bad idea. Those would be good certificate awards.

Ahh the sweet rotting smell of freshly crushed Halflings in the morning. |

Maybe take a piece of DAS modelling clay, shape into a rough humanoid shape and then step on it! Mount that on a plaque, et voila! |

I'm making progress on the new Death Bowl website. For now people who are interested in registering can email me or PM me and I'll get you set up in the system manually. |

Brian
Can you please, please, please move BB 7's to Saturday as the last game of the day?
That way we have only 2 rounds on Sunday with the Deathbowl round really counting as two games in length.
I would prefer not to be rushed in the Deathbowl round as i was last year as it definately involves a lot more stragedy as you have 3 opponents rather then just one.
And i would really like to leave for home a little earlier, the drive home last year was really hard after all that bloodbowl.
That is my only small request from a simple man.

I have no problem moving the 7's to Saturday. It'll just mean we finish late Saturday. Probably not before 8pm. It'll also mean though that we can start at 9 on Sunday instead of 8. We'd start the Death Bowl match at noon instead of 1pm. You guy's probably wouldn't get out of there much earlier though. There's also no way to avoid an overtime either. We got a late start on Sunday last year and then the lead table went into Death Bowl overtime. The only way to make sure things keep on schedule for the Death Bowl match is to clock the whole game. I don't know if you guys want to do that. There is 15+ minutes between turns though so people have plenty of time to think.
What do you guy's think. Finish late Saturday? Clock on the DB match? |

Anything to get us out of there at a decent time! As Ben said, the drive home was brutal!

I think finishing late on Saturday and starting at 9 on Sunday is a great idea.
And i don't think a clock is needed for Db unless a coach decides to take forever each turn 'cough' Zombie 'cough' then it can be enforced.
I know with Deathbowl you can't gurantee a scheduled time but what ever you can do to help shorten the time such as moving bb7's to saturday, definately helps.

No, the late drive home is brutal when I know that at the end of it I will be arriving too late to have any hope of getting lucky!

Yeah holding it at that hotel you can get away with finishing that late. Got to admit that's a pretty good location for a tourney.
Still even under that schedule we don't finish up the Death Bowl round before 5pm. Ceremonies and such you guys could be out of there by 6. If it goes into overtime, which as history tells is likely enough, it'll still run late. |

If we are late that is fine, at least we won't be as late if we had started with BB 7's in the morning. |

I don't mind finishing late on Saturday if it means we can get out a little earlier on Sunday.
Hmm, how about this. New Deathbowl Rule: at the start of each turn, toss a coin or roll a die,
heads/evens: a random player on the pitch for your turn dies.
Tails/odds: a random player on one of the opposing teams dies.
Should be able to avoid overtime that way. |
