Just a quick update on Thrudbowl...

41 registrations so far, about 5% dropout but almost all re-registered or went to another coach. Probably will expand to 75 if College will let me.

Deathwing will be there, and playing rather than just NAF pimping!

A "Paul Gegg" has registered (does anyone know if this is "the Geggster" at Lenton who THRASHED some poor wood elf team into splinters? By turn six of the first half the whole 'forest' was Dead or Injured?) .

Lycos has told me he is going to randomly determine which 1 of 6 teams he is bringing to play. I'm not sure whether he's just mad or simply very, very experienced (perhaps both!?)

No word from the Governor Of California's office yet as to whether the former actor responsible for Conan will be able to donate a small prize towards the Thrud Auction...fingers crossed!

(Still on the scrounge for anything remotely free and barbarian-like to add to the Auction.)

Not been able to source any cheerleaders with the "Mighty Blow" skill yet, as requested by one coach (who shall remain anonymous...) Embarassed

58 days to go!!

Any chance of a list of those attending being posted on this thread? You know, so I can see who is going to be there and who I may possibly be able to scrounge a room with... Wink

I'd like to attend but I really have to keep the costs down... Confused

Update 28/06/06:
The website, www.thrudbowl.com, will by the next day or so show all of the prizes, auction items and the Trophies for Thrudbowl. Check them out, I think you'll agree they are cool(although a little out of focus,, I'm no David Bailey)!

I have only just seen the question on who else is coming to Thrudbowl (dated 25/5) today. Sorry, didn't get an email to say there was a new reply posted. I will email the 38 confirmed attendees (& I'm still chasing 5 stragglers) by the end of the week, to check that they don't mind me disclosing their names.

There is still time for those who are still interested in coming to make a last minute registration, but I really must have all deposits in by 7th July 06, as I need to ensure enough boards are sourced, etc. Get your online registration form in NOW on the tickets and reservations page of the website (its FREE to register). As our club is GCN registered, this tournament is advertised in 25 GW stores in the south of England, so its likely we will find the remainder, and note reservations are on a first come, first served basis.

See the website for more details

Thrud Rules!!

Two members of Spiky Club will bring most of the BB Boards we need to the event, and I'll be supplying Score/ RR / Turn counters and Throw-In / Scatter / Throwing Templates, so all you need to bring now is your teams, Rosters and Dice.

One less thing to stress about...

Shocked
