Sorry for the stupid question, I'm a newcomer in this forum and I would like to know if somewhere in the rules is stated that a coach have to declare what skill have his player (if asked).
I ask this becouse I think there many interesting skill (like dump off or diving takle) who can be used to take some "surprise tactics".
Probably if I have to declare which skill I have I never take that skill !!

It depends on where you play actually.
We allways answer when asked, sometimes even give info without being asked.
The other way round, no info, just the team sheet before the match and then you need to remember it gives different possibilities.
Ask this at TBB, more replies there

There is no secrecy in BB. You have to tell your opponent what skills your players have. Most players that I've come across are quite happy to exchange rosters before the game and always answer questions about what skills a player has.
Its also good practice to inform your opponent if you have a skill and think they may have forgotten (Guard/Tackle are good examples of this). |

Yeah, in our league we usually trade team sheets to see what the other team has for skills and such. Even then, during the game we ask what certain players have before making actions at times... |

i don't think you HAVE to tell your opponent what skills your players have but it is usually considered common courtesy |

You know what ? When we're asked, we answer, but otherwise, it's so funny to see the face of your oppenent when he thinks you just missed a Dodge with that AG2 Bull Centaur, but then call "Break Tackle!" to continue to the end zone... Sweet memories !

I always show my roster at the start of the game and if ask will inform my opponent of what skill a said player has, but I will never remind him/her of skills my players have that may effect their decisions. Its their job to remember, if they don't al the better for me!

We keep all our files in a shared exel file on a yahoo group. That way anyone can print out a copy of your team at any time. Usually coaches do take copies of the opposing team when they play. |

Well, I can't claim ownership of it, but it does work well for us. |

My problem with that is that some of my players don't have a regular access to the web! I know it sounds strange but I do... |
