As a minotaur is a wild animal and has frenzy can you do this, if standing next to an ogre or other big guy with strength 5.
1) Declare a blitz
2) Hope for a push back or pow roll
3) If push back rolled as you have now moved 1 square can you now use horns to have a strength of 6 and therefore 2 dice block???
Similar question for beastmen blitzing can they use horns after one square moved if the first move was a follow up.
We play in our league that this can't happen but I was wondering if there are any "official" rules??
Thanks for any help. ![Twisted Evil](modules/PNphpBB2/images/smiles/icon_twisted.gif) |

LRB pp 35 "If the player has the Frenzy trait, then the horns bonus applies on the second block if it applied on the first." |

That's the opposite, does the Horn bonus apply to the second block if it didn't apply to the first??
The rule can be read in two ways:
" the horns bonus apllies to the second roll ONLY if it apllied on the first"
or
"as the follow-up move IS a square of movement, the horn bonus is legal EVEN on the second block..." (so, becoming legal even if the first block didn't allow it)
Personally I'd go for the first, so, no Horns for the second block unless it aleready applied to the first.....
Cheers

I don't think you a deconstruct the sentence too closely. Its quite clear that horns may ONLY be used on a 2nd block if it was used on the 1st. |

With Horns and Frenzy, you get +1 ST on the 2nd block if you had +1 ST on the first block. The wording of the LRB getting taken at face value with this one.
So if you start adjacent, blitz, push, follow-up, and hit again: No +1 ST on the 2nd hit.
Move 1 square, blitz against Stand Firm, roll pushes (which don't effect him), and then hit him again: +1 ST on the 2nd hit.

I'd like it to be that way Doubleskulls, but let me assure you. Some people will nitpick EVERY rule to bend it to his own needs....

Some people need hitting over the head with a plank.
Seriously though, you aren't every going to get lawyer tight rules from GW. That is about as good as it gets. |

I.m not so sure about your second one ...the way i read the LRB 2.0 and if you read under the frenzy trait "A player with Frenzy must always follow an opponent up if they push them back." This indicates to me that you are not actually 1 square away since you automatically follow up and are right next to the player to be blocked.
Any other thoughts? ![Question](modules/PNphpBB2/images/smiles/icon_question.gif) |

We treat it as the player was gaining enough momentum to get the Horns bonus on the 1st and 2nd blocks if they move at least 1 square before the hit. If you don't get the bonus on the first block, then you don't get the bonus on a "follow-up" block (or second block). |

Horns specifically says that it works on the second block of a Frenzy. (P35, LRB) |

Right. It won't work if you didn't get it in the first place. |
