Hi,
I play a Chaos team in our league under LRB 5... after my last game my mino should get a new skill but I've thrown a 5 an a 6 so now the question: should I take +AG or a powerful skill like Guard or Juggernaut?
with AG 3 I could try to take the ball in a strange situation or try to dodge which is very risky....taking Juggernaut or Guard I don't have to give explainations....nice to have.
I think I will go for Juggernaut or Guard
what do you think.

That's what I would do. Preferring juggernaut to guard.
The minotaur is going to get more use out of one of these skills than he is out of a +AG in my opinion. He is not a reliable ball carrier with the Wild Animal, and would be better off blocking or blitzing someone than trying to dodge away.
Shame that you had to get the +AG on the mino! |

Juggernaught IMO. The 40k for +AG just isn't worth it on him since you really don't want a Wild Animal as a ball handler and AG3 still isn't good enough to use much on a Loner anyway. |

Claw or Juggernaut. Claw if there is a lot of high AV teams in the league, otherwise Jugger.
The two stat increases worth taking with a Mino are +1ST to ST6 (For 3D Blitzes solo) and +1AV on a 6+4 (+MA on further 6+4s) |

But that would require a doubles. +AG is not. |

Umm...
LRB5 Chaos Minotaurs can pick Mutations on normal rolls. I should know, I was one of the people who suggested it...

Ok, well it's clear that in your league you're not playing pure LRB5 then. So Claw isn't an option for you.
Here's the official rulebook on specialist games. Check page 55 which is where I quoted the text from. Note that the Chaos Dwarf Minotaur does not mutate on normal rolls while the Chaos Minotaur does. This is not a typo, it is an intentional difference between the minotaurs.

It is an option for those playing the most up to date version of LRB5.
Multiple Block is Rubbish on minotaurs. Take Juggernaut if your league doesn't have mutating minotaurs. |

Ok...that's weired...but good to know, we'll have to change that.
Muliple Block on a mino is not that effective like on an ogre but I think it's not rubbish.
thanks

Well excuse me for not having memorized the rulebook. Sorry to have insulted you, guess I did not know who I was dealing with! Where is the bow down and worship icon when you need it? |

Personally, I would still go for juggernaut. The claw is nice for getting the CAS and scaring the bejeezus out of your opponents, but it also makes him that much more of a priority target.
Also, the juggernaut skill would help him from going down when he blitzes and makes him that much better at his primary role - blitzing.
Claw would be a good second in my opinion (or tentacle). |

Absolutely. With Mighty blow already and skills stacking, the Mino is thro any armour on a 7. Throws an 8 he (it?) still has MB for the injury.
Juggernaut is useful....but then so is Guard as that is in play for the rest of team all the time....but Claw is the way to go.... |

Claw, Juggernaut and Break Tackle are my prefered three skills (in order) on the Minotaur for Chaos. Because the rest of the side has so much access to Guard on normal rolls you don't need to prioritise grabbing Guard with the minotaur.
Plus Guard is for Blocker types, something a minotaur almost never is.
As for Doubles, Block 1st then Dodge or Side Step if I got a 2nd doubles. No suprises there, I don't bother with Tackle because I use the minotaur for crowd pushing/finishing off chain pushes. |
