What a freakn' weekend! Plenty of booze, plenty of Blood Bowl and plenty o' fun!
An awesome job done by Glenn and Joe for running the tourney, and I look forward to future tourneys!
Have to say that one of my highlights for thr tourney was having the opporunity to play AngryRob's Chaos vs my Nurgle on the Khorne Field (which is a breathtaking piece of work! - you guys need to get pics on here!)
Was a real pleasure to meet you all, and to see some of you again. Was great to meet Eggball as he was the one who inspired the colourfor my rotters on the team. He and I tied for Best Team award, and he won the tie-breaker. All I can say, is "Get some pics up of that norse team of yours - they are frikkin' awesome!" (Oh yeah - and lookin at his team gives me some more "inspiration"! )
Look forward to seeing you all again at the Canadian Open, then again at the Q'ermitt! The Canadian Open is only a month and a half away! Just enough time for me to make up a new team!
Now all I have to do is face work. Get the through the day man...... one hour at a time.... baby steps..... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz |

Joe,
Just wanted to say that I though that the "Draft" method of choosing skills was probably the best method of tournament skill choices that I have ever seen! Really cool and lots of fun to try out! I felt like it was Christmas on Sunday morning and I couldn't wait to try out all my new presents! (Oh boy! A Tentacle in my stocking! )
You should post the rules for this more clearly and clearly titled in the "Hosting Tournaments" section. |

Thank you to everyone who came to the Capital City Kick-OFF 2007, from Glen (twodiceblock) and the rest of us who did the stuff.
You guys played harded and partied harder! Ben's mid taxi ride pyschedelic yodelling will be fondly remembered for quite a while.
From our perspective, It went remarkably well, especially since it was our first tournament! Although we may get big chess timers for the next tournie, DBV, so each coach has 1 hour to play their game...
The big prizes went to:
Most Sporting: Taxal - Mighty Sweetbuns (Halfling)
Best Painted: Eggball - Mechanicsville Mjolnirs (Norse)
(after tie breaker with Spazzfists Brampton Blowflies (Nurgles Rotters) as you mentioned Craig )
Most CAS: Bellowthunderslam - The Unholy Nightmares (undead)
(courtesy of those friendly chaps on the Mighty Sweetbuns, 10Cas in one game is alot!)
Most TDs: Bucephulous - The Astros (high elf)
3rd place: Ben - Dwarf Giants (Dwarf)
2nd place: Talons - Purely Tanked (Dwarf)
1st place: Notorious_jtb - Da Avalanche (Orc)
I await the japes about winning a tournament I entered the data for with baited breath!
thanks again

Thanks for your kind words
I will put a full and clear explanation up this week, but not today, too tired to be able to write properly.
p.s. I love the draft too. +1MA and sprint on Gothmog (Orc Blitzer extraordinare) got me both TDs vs Cramy for the tie in the last game. (not bad for the 32nd and 64th (and last) picks in the draft |

Yes, the draft was loads of fun. Big Hand and Two Heads on a GR, wheeeeee.
Tentacles and Tackle on a Nurgle Warrior, nasty.
The whole weekend was a blast. Can't wait for the next tournament. Starting to thing about the best way to bring-up the subject with my wife ...

Hey Joe,
I know I did bad in the tournament, but how did I only get 4.5 points including my painting. I won 1, and tied 2. Did I get -.5 for my painting. It was not THAT bad. |

My thoughts exactly. Both tournaments are early in the year. So just remind her after those two, there isn't one for months. That's how I am doing it. |

WOW !!!!!
Totally amazing job Glen and Joe on the C.C.K. this weekend.
Myself I know I had a blast, even if I didn`t win a game. What do you expect with Flings.
As always all my opponents were great fun to play against. Got to laugh at myself and well, made you all laugh at me too.
Glad I was able to help out the Undead win most CAS, and the High Elves win most TD`S.
I was 1st with Flings in Canada before this week-end. Probably dropped a few spots with my amazing 2 ties - 4 loses. lol !!!!
See you all in March, and I will not be bringing Flings to the Open, so here`s hoping that i`m not to much of a push over.
