Just a quick question given the example pics....we are using round bases correct? Were the square ones in the images just for examples?

Yeah, we're using round bases. I didn't want to wreck a figure with an untested medium, so I used a couple 25 mm square bases I had lying around for examples.

I'm good with it, if you are.

We're talking about a Reaper fig, right?

Yes, it's the reaper mini.

I can do one since I have a spare one sitting around. I'll try to follow the color scheme Very Happy

Looking forward to seeing your wight, Lauth81.

I'm finished the conversions on the Michelin Man... er I mean, Mummy #55. Just need to wait for all that greenstuff to harden so I can get painting....

Eggball, we have to talk!

I would love to know how you did those bandages. I have tried doing bandages before, and they always look pretty terrible, but then I always have sucked at using the green stuff.

Would love it if you would start another thread and post your methods there.

Thanks for the comments!

It wasn't too hard to do the bandages. I used a plastic Warhammer zombie for the body (with some extra plastic between the legs and body to extend the height). I rolled out small lengths of greenstuff into "ropes" about 1-2mm across and 1-2 cm long. I wrapped these around the legs and arms and pressed into the middle of the ropes with a toothpick (the round kind with points at the ends) so that it squished out to the sides a bit. If the bandges looked too neat, I'd add one going the other direction to break it up.

It's important to use lots of water so that nothing sticks -- I was constantly dipping my toothpick and the GS into water before applying it.

So all in all not too difficult, just lots of fiddly little bits of GS! Actually this was an experiment to see how hard it would be to make my own mummies for a Khemri squad.

Here are pics of my wight:

The pics lost some of the highlights, but I think it's pretty accurate in colour overall.
Hope you like it!

BTW., I could do a turnmarker (or other counter). I have a plastic command sprue lying around, with an undead standard. I could try to paint the NAF sign on it.

Looks great, Lauth!

I'll put you down for the turnmarker, too.

I'm inspired to do a re-roll counter, myself.
