First paragraph of throw team mate rules says, "A monster may throw a player who is holding the ball". The last sentence of landing says, "A failed roll does not count as a turnover unless the player was holding the ball".
So which is it? Must be holding the ball, or does not have to hold the ball to be thrown. |

He may throw any teammate with rightstuff, not just the ones carrying the ball.
Note that a failed landing on a non ball carrier is NO turnover, even if the poor Gob spikes himself to death (beleve me it happens) |

Is it a turnover if the pass was inaccurate and the landing failed but the ball was not involved? |

Ouch!
Hey jmcubbin, would you have organized differently in your turn 7 against the Flings if this rule had been clear? |

I want to clarify this statement really quick.
Here is the simple rule for TTM and turnovers.
IGNORE the WHOLE TTM part.
The rule is simply this paraphrased:
Quote: If a player without the ball fails a landing roll it is not a turnover.
Once you understand that this is the rule everything else answers itself.
It doesn't matter whether the pass was accurate or inaccurate.
A fumble is clearly a turnover because there was never a landing roll.
Landing on top of another player is a turnover because again you didn't get to make a landing roll.
So the turnover is based solely on whether there was a landing roll or not and if the player had the ball ... nothing else.

I had a gutter runner that could have been there to watch my QB, but the 8th play would have still been tricky. Lots of rolls either way, so perhaps my throw would have been a failure intead of my dodge.
The fact that the dodge failed on a 3+ roll tells me that I probably would not have scored on turn 8 by a failed roll anyway. |

GalakStarscraper,
Landing on top of another player is a turnover because again you didn't get to make a landing roll.
Friendly and/or enemy ? ![Question](modules/PNphpBB2/images/smiles/icon_question.gif) |

I absolutely agree with Galak about the turnover upon landing on another player as there is no landing roll.
I agree also about the turnover on a fumble because ANY fumble causes a turnover, regardless if the throwing tema retain control of the ball or not...
But I don't see why the gobbo should't try to land on his feet....
I believe that in tha t case, the bouncing gobbo actually did fall from the big guy on the target square, not "bouncing" from the BG square.
As throwed team mates don't usually bounce.......
Cheers

Yup friendly and/or enemy. Falling down in a turnover unless you fall down and the rules say its okay (ie failed Landing rolls without the ball, Diving Catch, Piling On).

It's too bad you can't target a square with another player in it. Talk about incoming! Ok I'm throwing my fling at your rat Ogre. splat!
