Yeah, he said that he is going to keep the tourney in October, because a tourney without Spazz is not a tourney worth having!

I'm starting work on a Deathbowl board with 40mm squares. We might need several of these, especially for any matches with 2 or more Ogre teams.

I've finished painting up the Ogres. The Snotlings all have their new helmets and masks and are ready for painting. The Snotling Reroll Squad is waiting for their capes before getting painted. And conversions are under way for the Mariacchi band. Cool

In case any Death Bowlers haven't been following the discussion thread in the Announcements area, NAF is currently holding a vote for a new Tournament Director.

n discussions about their candidacy, Bryan Mitchell (Xtreme) indicated strong support for keeping the current NAF tournament sanctioning system as it is. The other candidate, David Candlish (Indigo), wishes to change the system to limit the rules editions that would be sanctioned and to somehow segregated tournaments using different game variations. David's approach would likely cause strong changes here in the Northeast with the ArisiaBowl, the Death Bowl, and the Challenge of Q'ermitt tourneys.

You can view the discussion thread here:
http://www.bloodbowl.net/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=3568

And you can vote here:

Cheers,
Maureen

No news is good news right now Wink

Actually, there will be some concrete news very soon. We are working on the time limit for turns right now. As we may have discussed above we are all about having more games of deathbowl. we want to do 5. thing is, that takes alot of time. So we have gotten rid of overtime and come up with a 3/3.5 minute turn limit. Still we havent quite got it down.

On scheduling news, I am away in Asia on my honeymoon from October 26 to November 20th so it WON'T be between those dates unless the other b##tch#s in ottawa do this behind my back Wink

It is possible it could be held on its origionaly scheduled date coinciding with the NAF world cup (19th-20th October).

We are working on it!

Having at the same time could be a good and bad thing. The bad being a few less players. The good less players to have to deal with while using the new rules.

I am in regardless of when it happens.

To be honest I don't know of anyone who "might be" a deathbowl attendee who is planning a trip to the world cup. However, if there is anyone It'd be fun to know!

As soon as I looked at the flight miles I would have needed to book a trip to the World Cup, I quickly scratched that idea. But that at least helped me figure out that I did have enough miles to make the trip to GenCon Cool

As long as the date works out, I'll be in Ottawa. Just the other night, I started painting the Snotlings to go with Los Tornados Enmascarados.

Cheers,
Maureen

Then Lost Tornados will meet their doom at the hands of the mighty LUCHADORES!

It is indeed ticking.

We are planning around the date of October 20-21 for DB V

I will try and pin Glen down this long weekend.
