How is the Team Efficiency Ratio determined?
I have some good news. My friend can't make the tournament and has decided to sponsor me.
He's most likely going to reward me based on the carnage that I cause. (Only from Blocks though).
So the more injuries I cause the more money this great charity gets. So guys you'll just have to leave me a lot of juicy blocks. It is for charity. |

T.E.R. is based on this formula-
(TD's scored - TD's allowed) + (INJ's caused - INJ's sustained) = T.E.R.
-since there is debate over which should be rated higher, I combined them. However, since this is only a three round tourney, there is a decent chance there will be a tie. For this award only, a tie will be broken with a Triple-Pow Challenge. (Nobody wants skulls when they roll, so how could I give a top coach award to the coach who rolls the most skulls!?)
As for the damage/scoring bonus from your silent benefactor, I will gladly accept his contribution and I hope you are destructive and a frequent visitor to the endzone. That said, I may be the only one there with that opinion! |

Hmmm...silent benefactor aye?
Perhaps I should have somone sponsor the number of ones or skulls I roll...then you'll see some numbers really climb. |

Hoping so.
Would likely be for the remaining figs and prizes after the trophy winners get theirs. Should include some Impact figs, Tritex gift Certificates, Charon gamer's satchels (if they arrive in time), autographed BloodBowl novels, and if there is enough involvement in the raffle, the custom pitch I am 95% done.
BTW, raffle ticket prices are:
$5 for 5
$10 for an arm length (yours, mine, whomevers)
$20 for 3 arm lengths (OOO, that's a bargain!) |

Yep...I totally agree...Joe this was a great event! Good Job with the prize support, trophies, custom pitch, etc.
I hope you did well with the fun raising, and I will still be visiting your Diabetes Support Site to donate after the fact. When is the Diabetes Walk? When do we have until to sponsor your walk?
Please let me know. (I'm a lazy sod and can't just go to the site to look. ) |

Results:
Champion - Jason Karr - 3/0/0
2nd place - Jeremy Smith - 2/0/1
Highest T.E.R. (Best Coach) - Jason Karr +10
Top Rookie - Eric McClenahan
Wooden Spoon - Jake Campolo
Summary:
Special congrats to Eric, the rookie, for only allowing one TD in three matches. The one he allowed was in a 1-0 loss to JKarr in what amounted to the tournament championship.
Speaking of JKarr, how about only allowing 1 TD himself, while scoring seven, and inflicting 6 injuries!
The four tourney rookies had a commendable showing at 3/7/2.
Despite some disparity with experience in some of the match-ups, I think all the games were pretty evenly contested (only two were decided by more than two scores).
There was a great mix of teams as 12 different races were used by the 14 coaches in attendance.
Thanks from the T.O.-
I want to thank everyone who came out in support of this worthy cause. Especially the carloads from Harrisburg and Scranton making the 100+ mile drives early on a sat. morning. Thanks to your combined generosity, the BBFAC tournament was able to raise over $350 for the American Diabetes Association. Thank you all very much!
I would also like to thank Showcase Comics in Bryn Mawr, PA for providing the space for this event. The BloodBowl community there is growing, a 7's league has been formed, and four tourney rookies "brought it" to the BBFAC. Things are looking bright for BloodBowl at Showcase Comics.
I also want to thank our generous prize sponsors:
Impact Miniatures
Charon Productions
Tritex Games
Matt Forbeck
Looking forward to next year already!
And I will have results and pics posted ASAP!

Thanks a ton, Joe! Tourney was a lot of fun. Nice to participate in a laid back for-a-great-cause kinda BB event! Best wishes on your continued fund raising and your big walk!
Also, the roast beef and gravy fries at nearby Nicks was just gravy (quite literally) atop an excellent trip! |

Obviously, donations can be made for as much as you want and as often as you'd like!
But, if you want to make a contribution to my donation page before the Step Up Challenge on October 20th, please visit...

Looks like a good tourney, Eric and congrats on the victory, Jason. Sorry I missed the tourney season this year, and hopefully I can make it up for some carnage next time. |
