Just wanted to thank Longshot, of course, and the rest of the coaches for the great time I had in St Quentin en Yvelines for my first ever NAF tournament...
I had a chance to pût a face on some legends names (the Longfangs and others)...and tried for the first time my black dice and honnestly went slightly better than usual (thanks deathwings for bringing them, really cool of you !)
This all went great.. despite an obvious lack of respect for religion showed by the entouhsiasm of my opponents in thier attempts to crash my NUN team (amazon roster)...
I think I played against the all dutch contingent, more or less... all very cool guys... And my only pride of the event would have been my first game won against cohen, the Dutch event winner, 362, after being 062 down...
Well, I even did beat a Chaos dwarves team (try to imagine a worth opponent for amazons).....just before being crashed (and I mean crashed) by another chaos dwarf team in my last game.
All funny and cool opponents..
So just thanks. My life doesn't allow me to play too much (as Longshot is aware of), and I feel blessed to have had the chance to play into this one.
Now, I'm gonna try to play again at a reasonable pace to come back a bit better than shwon this WE.
THumbs up for all of you guys and have fun.....
Get ready for the next Crush

So... Who won? And who was the biggest loser on this tournament? (I should challenge that one ) Furthest travelling coach? Best comeback? Best Painted Team? Sillyest french accent ?

Nah, Dave is exaggerating. I was only third (while I did have more points than Tim who came in second)
Grep-V (at TBB) came in 1st with his Sticky Bits (remember those CD with that insane Cas count at the DO?)
Anyway; it was a very stunty tournament with Chaos Dwarfs coming in 1st and 2nd, and real Dwarfs 3rd. Best French were Jokers Orcs at 4th...
Best painted were Zodiac's (a German, again) Halflings. The organisers actually had to come up with new prizes to make the French coaches win something too .

Now that Chaos Dwarves are doing so well in tournaments I'm starting to regret I took them to the next weekends tournament. If I win, people will claim it's because the team is too good, and if I lose, it means I suck flesh from the bones. It's a winlose-loselose situation
And besides, the chaos dwarf coaches are starting to have really good rankings - it's hard to ascend in that list, especially as we have quite small tournaments areound here <30 coaches. |

Geez man, you're almost as crappy a player as me! I came in 40th

Oh do I... He's been my idol ever since! I still need to learn how to roll more than 5 on 2D6 you know...

Ah! Ze Orquez vere ze best! Trés bien, Gork must 'ave smiled on zem zat day! It's always nice when people play Orcs AND play good

I'm beginning to see a pattern here...
Okay, here's my plan for winning the Dutch Open next year:
- Don't remove any mould lines from my chaos dwarfs.
- Snip off weapons. Don't bother if hands or fingers are actually snipped away as well.
- Stick some random bull centaurs together. Don't bother checking for gaps between the left and right part. Don't remove weapons or shield knobs, bull centaurs look cool with axes, they are supposed to protect the Sorceror Lords of Zharr-Naggrund you know.
- Undercoat? Yeah, my ass! (that one is actually white )
- Bases? Why bother? A bit of chewing gum should prevent minis from falling over!
- Paint them...? Why, they wear armour. It's supposed to look like metal.
- Don't bother about WYSIWYG. Green toy soldiers actually look a lot like Hobgoblins if you close your eyes a bit. Or close them entirely...
And then I will certainly not win best painted team so I'm bound to win 1st place!!! All bow to the king of BloodBowl!
It all makes perfect sense, right?
