A little bit of planning ahead, eh? Wink

I have my schedule laid out for me for the next while, and so looking ahead, this has to be the weekend of this tournament this coming year.

This year the tournament will be held in the basement of my new home, which means that I will not have to worry about finding a space, overhead cost of the room. etc. Which means that I can focus on other things like prizes, etc.

On that note, I am considering having a special mini made by Impact! miniatures for the tourney - (just toying with the idea) please visit the Hosting Tournaments section to post your opinion (if you have one).

Rules to follow soon, but pretty much it will be the same team creation and rules as last year (that part seemed to work okay).

Hope to see you out there!

Please see full rules at the tournament website follow the link in my sig

The following are the rules for the team creation and skill advancement at the tournament:

Team Creation:
Teams will be created at TV125
Inducements may be bought for their regular cost as permanent parts of the team.
Star players MAY be bought! (Q`ermitt wants to see the best of the best after all)
Halflings may hire the Master Chef at a cost of 50,000 gp
Goblin teams may buy bribes at a cost of 50,000 gp
Wizards may not be bought, Q'ermitt does not want any rivals present!
Special play cards may not be bought

Star Players will be bough according to the Bidding War Rules - (see website for full rules -- or somewhere around pg 6 on this thread)

Costs of Skills During Team Creation:
Regular Skill - 20K
Doubles Skill - 30K
+MA/AV - 30K
+AG - 40K
+ST - 50K

*Any one player cannot have more than two skills or attribute increases given to them during the team creation (or one skill and one attribute increase).

Skill Advancement:
After each round the T.O. will roll a d6, the result of this roll will apply to ALL TEAMS. The d6 result will dictate what kinds of skills are available. To know, consult the chart below.

d6 roll of
1-2 - Regular skill
3-4 - Doubles Skill
5 - Players choice of either MA or AV
6 - Player's choice of either AG or ST

** Players may receive only one skill from the skill advancement phase regardless of how many they gained in the Team Creation.

Ah c'mon Dan, I know that you need to book in advance for your Brazillian waxing to be done but can you not reschedule with this much notice? I am sure there are many people who are desperate enough for a couple of bucks who will do it for you!

I'll do it for 10 bucks Dan. Doesn't include tip. Smile

I'll do my best to be there Craig. The advance notice helps with negotiating with the misses.

I really enjoyed last year's mayhem with all the special pitch rules. Are you going to update the kick-off tables to line them up with LRB5? I can help with that if you want. If you send me the kick-off tables electronically, I can edit them.

And if you want, I can update the tournament manager spread sheet for use at your Tourney. Let me know if you would like to use it, and I'll provide it to you .... for a small fee Smile Smile Smile

Speaking of planning ahead, you might be a bit rushed getting the mini made in time. You should talk to Galak ASAP if you wanna do it. They say 9months on the website from request to casting. Unless you get someone to sculpt a green for you......

I would love to come again. We will see how the next little while unfolds. My contract ends in febuary so a state of some flux exists currently.

I am going to update the website over the next couple of monthes and was wondering if anyone has kept a record of the Prize winners from the previous Q`ermitts? I would like to add this to a History section.

I spoke with Alex, the scultor in Ottawa today and he told me that he is more than happy to do up a green for me to have a tournament model. This means that Impact! can have the model for me in plenty of time for the tourney! Woo hoo!

The model is going to be a norse punk, which corresponds with the kick off table result "Trial of Manhood" on the norse pitch. This is the one where the young norseman who feels he has something to prove, comes onto the pitch to harass the Blood Bowl players. In a pinch I am sure it could find his way onto a norse team (particularly as a journyman) or as Rod pointed out he could also make an interesting juve for a Necromunda gang!

Alex said he would forward me his concept sketches shortly, and I will post those when I get them.

I'd do sketches too but have no scanner I could take a picture of it with my digital camera then post it if you'd like.

Thanks for the offer, but Alex said that he is going to have the whole thing done in about a week (which just boggles my mind), so I think it's all taken care of.
