Just a quick note to annouce the date and venue for the 2008 version of the CCKO.
The tournament will be held at the Montgomery Legion in Ottawa on the 26-27th of January 2008
The tournament will be swiss style with 7 games of regular bloodbowl. With 4 games on saturday and 3 on sunday.
The scoring will be 3/1/0 (win/tie/loss)
There will be many Trophies.
The Skills draft will be reappearing at the end of day one.
The rules will be LRB5.

p.s. there will be a pre-registration prize draw assuming we can persuade eric to do us a second website............ |

Are you kidding me? I am sure that Eric loves the fact that having "rubli" at the front of a website is becoming synonomous with Blood Bowl links! |

Damn you are on to my plan . . . .
I am currently learning how to make proper printable boards and did this as a test:
It is the Ottawa City flag as the pitch. Just add some BB elements to it and you have a custom CCK-O pitch.
I actually saw this kind of thing (ie non-green football field) used at one of the US Colleges. Cannot rember which but it was different. |

Pretty neat to see the City of Ottawa flag on there ... |

That's a nice looking pitch...
And could you be refering to the Broncos from Boise State? Don't forget, they wear blue uniforms too! UGH...

The rules for the CCKO 08 will be up soon.
They are very similar to last year.
TV 110
No more than 80k spent on improvements to players
No inducements or stars, unless your a goblin or halfling

don't knock goblins mate. They can be pretty handy.
They also get to buy bribes at the CCKO, for 100k each. |

Oh where do I begin!
Is it because I want to play a real team?
Is it because by some fluke chance, I have been beaten at other tourneys, and want to secure my victory with a more reliable team?
Is it because I feel that it takes a massive cheater <cough> Joe <cough> to be able to win a tourney with goblins?
Or is it because I do not want to humiliate my opponents by completely destroying their team with such an underrated team?
No, indeed it is because I have plans for a new team and the CCKO is just the incentive I needed to get it done.
Be afraid! Be very afraid! |

Incentive abounds mate!
Have a few of the models painted, and only a couple more to convert and paint while the others have most of their base coats. Should be able to have them done in time no problem! (Maybe even enought time to build a custom board for them! ) I mean c'mon, I have to have some kind of trick up my sleeve to beat Eggball for the Best Team award!
Will get some pics up when the team is done - or more close to it than they are now. |
