I do not know what the Team Value is for the event but I would take all Four Blitzers since they start with Block if you can. |

I would go with the following (for a 100 TV):
4 Blitzers
4 Block Orcs
1 Thrower
1 Troll
1 Goblin
2 Re-rolls
1 Asst Coach
1 Cheerleader
Then you can spend the entire tourney pushing people around. And you have the fun of playing with a troll and a goblin... |

i have to have a head coach right? so the assisnt coach is extra then? i do have a really cool idea for a cheerleader, so that would be cool to run one. the TV of the tourney is 1,000,000.
thanks for the info. |

You are the head coach. Assistant coaches are modifiers for the kick-off table, like cheerleaders. |

alright then, that team is really appealing, i think ill roll with the above list then, im converting up a cheerleader now anyways.
ok, since im sure people could tell me all day long about changes to make, im just gonna run this and go with it.
now, the tourney has the follwing rules on skills, which is my next hurdle. i get the following:
1. i can give a skill before the 1st game to 3 players
2. in addition, i can do 1 of the following:
-give a doubles skill to a non big guy who hasnt had a skill yet
-give a second skill to someone who isnt a big guy or a bull centaur
-give an AV or MA yp to any non big guy who hasnt recieved a skill
this is the list ill be running:
4 Blitzers
4 Block Orcs
1 Thrower
1 Troll
1 Goblin
2 Re-rolls
1 Asst Coach
1 Cheerleader
so can i get some help with skills now? thanks. |

One other thing to keep in mind is that in a tourney situation it is better to spend any extra cash on Coaches and Cheerleaders. I will let someone else explain the math, but it is more beneficial to have these, than the extra Fan Factor. |

As you only have 2 RRs, I would put block on 3 Black Orcs. That's the basic skill to give. If you had more rerolls, you could have given guard to 3 Black Orcs (my preference).
Then I would give +MA to a Blitzer. He's your ball carrier. That way you take less risks when stomping up the field, as you have one more square of movement to score in the last minute. And the MA of 7 helps with the two turn score, if you have to at the end of a half.
Good luck with the Troll. I would definitely not take him (I'd prefer and extra Lino and Reroll). But if you really want to, well, good luck. |

thaks for the info. im not perfect on the math, but i think the team i have listed is 1,000,000
4 Blitzers 320,000
4 Block Orcs 320,000
1 Thrower 70,000
1 Troll 110,000
1 Goblin 40,000
2 Re-rolls 120,000
1 Asst Coach 10,000
1 Cheerleader 10,000
am i correct. seems like the troll is really a basd idea, but i want to run him at least once, im stubborn and i want to see how bad he actually is when i play with him.
so block on 3 black orcs and bump up movement on a blitzer? sounds good, any other opinions on skills? |

The troll isn't necessarily bad. Sorry for the expression, but it's how you use it that matters:
Do not start off turns blocking with the troll. Generally, save it to last. Also, use the troll to tie up lots of enemy players... he's one heckuva speed bump.
As for skills, block on black orcs is never wrong. However, if I were using a blitzer as my primary runner (which I would recommend, by the way), I would give him sure hands instead of the MA+. Sure hands will frequently save you a re-roll. This does leave you with the doubles not used, but I think you're better off without it. If you just have to use the doubles, take block off of one of the black orcs and give block to the goblin... It's always nice to have a blodger... |

With only 2 rerolls, I'd take Leader on the thrower as one of the starting skills. |
