How do you like em?
I am starting the 4th one and have to say, they get 3 stars out of 5 from me, since they are Blood Bowl, have some cool game scenes and are sometimes exciting.
But overall I find them a bit disappointing, since they don't realy grab me. Also I think the references to our modern day are a bit strained.
And although there are cool game scenes, many just try to climax in ridiculous action and there are only few ones with straight Blood Bowl.
The books seem to be written for non-Blood-Bowl-players, but to my eyes they don't achieve that well enough, since the stories itself are kinda boring (at least to me).
So, what's your opinion? |

Easily the worst set of books I've read from Black Library.
I've read that Matt Forbeck is a good author, but these really don't inspire me to try anything else he's written/writing. |

I can't decide between a 3 or 4, so I went with 3. They're decent enough, but gloss over a lot of the in-match detail and skip from set-piece to set-piece. The plots are so-so. The worst thing about them is the editing, I have the omnibus edition, and the amount of errors in player names, positions and team names is staggering.
Worth a read if you like BB and have nothing else to read, but not worth tracking down at all costs. |

Book 1 and 3 are good, 2 and 4 are bad, IMHO.
I would give a 2,5 out of 5 about the series... 3,5 to book 1 & 3, just 2 to the other 2. |

Voted 2. They are generally poorly written, but occasionally flesh out the BB world in some cool ways.
As mentioned above, the editing is absolutely appauling. I never seen the like. Two classic examples. Forbeck kills the same player twice (once at the end of book 1, and then again at the start of book 2). Second, coach Pegleg is orginally described as bald with a curly wig attached to his tricorn hat. Yet in books 2 onwards he regularly lifts his hat whilst keeping his healthy locks firmly attached to his head. |
