Just played a game with my new Chaos Dwarf teamand managed to skill up one of the dwaves. And let it be said that this is probably the only time in my life I was happy to roll double 1's!

My initial thought for the team was to mass up on guard - a pretty standard tactic for the CD's

But with doubles, it opens up new possibilities...

Do I go with a mutation? (Claw seems an obvious choice, but the league is just forming up and I do not know all the teams that are playing - there are halflings, humans and khemri for sure...)

I might also go the route of getting somehting like Dodge to make him a blodger, but this seems a bit of waste to only use defensively, as he will never likely attempt to dodge.

But then Diving Tackle has merit - make him one helluva safety!

Or I could just go with plain ol' guard. Stick to the original plan.

Advice?

The rest of the team looks like this:\

6 x Chaos Dwarves
2 x Bull Centaur
4 x Hobgoblin (just bought one)
1 x Apothecary
1 x FF
2 X RR

All the players are vanilla, but my BC captain started with Leader.

Hmm, I would go with Claw. When i have the chans I´ll let my "claw guy" take down the other team´s big guy(s) most of them have one. And that is allways nice. After claw: Mighty blow and if he survies to a third skill piling on or dauntless (but with a bunch of "guard players" around him that might be useless).

Claw, definitely, especially since you already have a leader.

I was wondering when the coach who won the Deathbowl with Chaos Dwarves was going to speak up! Wink

Claw and possibly Mighty blow as his next skill if you have other guarders around the team by then. With those other guarders next to him, everyone becomes Armour 6 effectively so with one each side, smack a Black orc with 2D and 7 through the armour, hopefully an 8 so its only a 7 to get him KO and off.
Nasty.

It's always good to see some respect for previous achievements!

I miss the tourney scene and look forward to attend a few next year. So I might add up to the reputation, who knows ! Wink

I went with claw. I figured it is a better choice for this point in the team's development. Will be more useful.
