what do you guys take on double rolls for your dark elves?
i just had 2 linemen roll doubles as their first skill and am leaning towards guard, although mighty blow is also a tempting option for skilling quickly.
on witch and blitzer im thinking mightyblow all the way, possibly piling on. |

My opinion:
Lineman: Always Guard
Runner: Skip the double
Assassin: Multiple Block
Witch: Mighty Blow, Piling On later if you roll a second double. Other good option is Juggernaut.
Blitzer: Mighty Blow or Guard, depends. Guard is more important on the team. But if you already have a few Linemen with Guard, then Mighty Blow is a good option. Also depends on what skill the Blitzer already has. If you were developing him with Tackle, Strip Ball, and other skills making him a prime blitzer, then Mighty Blow. If you were developing him with Dodge and Side Step, then Guard. |

NOS is great on a runner, but it's not a double. Definitely NOS and Pass as skills for the runners is good, but mainly to use with Dump Off.
For other players, as there are no dedicated catchers or throwers, and I have never developed a catcher, I have never seen the use for NoS.
I play a running game with short passes with my Dark Elves, so will usually not pass to a player with TZs on him.
On a High Elf catcher though, I totally see it. |

Runner doubles... the only things I can think of that might be worth taking are Guard (just because its always good to have - however this isn't a piece for assisting normally) and Strong arm - to develop the long range passer. However unless you really want a Pass, Accurate, Strong Arm player then you are going to wait a long time to get the benefit. |

On Blitzers and Linemen I would always take Guard as a first doubles skill. My ideal, based on experience, is to have 4 Guards in any Elven team.
On a second doubles roll, however, I would strongly consider Grab. Combined with the Witch Elves' Frenzy, this would lead to the cry of "surf's up" with pleasing frequency. |
