What do you do if a Pitch Invasion occurs on the kick-off and all the receiving teams players are stunned, then a touchback occurs?
I've never had this occur in a table top game, but it recently occured in the video game version, which caused a lock up since there was no standing player to give the ball to.
It got me thinking what you would do if it occured in a table top match. Pick a prone player to scatter the ball from perhaps? |

Do you mean a Pitch Invasion?
Yeah - that'd be a rough call. |

I've started at least one drive with 3 players, and my opponents have started occasionally with 2. For 1-3 players to be Stunned by a PI would not require outrageous luck (especially if your opponent had +2 FAME).
So the situation has a realistic chance of occurring occasionally. |

Drop the ball from one of the stunned players. |

DON'T ask JJ rules questions ... he's been away from the knee deep in the rules part of the game for too long and you often won't get the right answer as he's a casual player now and not a rules junkie.
Doubleskulls and I are your resident rules junkies ... and Doubleskulls already answered this one correctly.
Touchback means ... give it to one of your players ... stunned means he cannot hold it so it would scatter one from him.
If for some reason (like Throw a Rock) removes your last player from the pitch at the kick-off and there is a touchback ... then the coach getting the touchback places the ball in any square ... I would agrue that it doens't bounce at that point since its the referee placing the ball on that square ... but Ian might disagree.

If the player the ball is being scattered from is on the line and the ball scatters into the other half, touchback again or leave it? |

Touchback again - the ball must aways start a drive in the half of the receiving team. |
