sidestep is also a good option (although it works best with guard) |

If that´s the plan then I would go with the Jump Up skill. Happy Hunting!
In earlier rules editions, sure, but with the current Jump Up rules an AG 3 Dwarf u needs a 3+ to block with it (stays on the ground if he misses).

I'd take Prehensile Tail myself. He's a really nasty guy to get hit by - and with tackle & PTail hard to get away from too.
Diving Tackle means he's on the floor more, and with MA4 you want to keep him mobile.
Dodge isn't bad either - just for keeping him on his feet and for later combo with Stand Firm. |

If you make an block action with him yes, an blitz aciton or moveaction still make the skill free for use. |
