Thanks Eric for the great tourney! I think the five game format (while necessary for the time we had) was a blast! Allowed us more time to get our drink on and hang out after the first day.
Thanks to all my opponents for putting up with me. Except Rod. You were a jerk. Beating up all my skinks like that.
This leaves only three more teams for me before I have rankings with all 24! |

My brain is still trying to re-compose after this week-end. Thanks Eric for pulling a very nice Canadian Open !
I'm still not sure what happened, but I want your software for tournaments, Eric ! It's the first time that my beaten up rats have a favorable tie breaker !
Thanks to my opponents (yeah, even you Tom), that was some wild and crazy games !
And well done to Craig, 3 more teams to go !
Finally, I'd like to thank you guys for kicking Alex's ass, this is going to make the upcoming week interesting
See you soon, but not with rat-carpets (19 CAS against in 5 games... OUCH). |

@ eric: could you let me know what Alex is supposed to do to have access to this forum after you register him to the NAF ?
His coach name is "Stimme"
@ Mark: 19 is without counting the failed dodges / fouls, so the total is probably close to 23 I guess the rat-fur stock price dropped a lot after this tournament
edit: jeeeeeeeez, even the Ogre team got less CAS against than me !!! Beside that, tristan (UD) got smashed pretty well as well o.o |

Eric, Thanks for putting on a great tourney. I had a great time, especially since I didn't have to play Tom
This repeated thing of running into Laurant the final round, beating him, and still losing to him in the standings is getting old though
I'll see you guys at Warpstone if not before...

I'm living proof that that isn't true!
Thanks for a really fun tournament, Eric. The only thing it needed was a window. The funniest moment was when some 40K kid's mom came down to use the bathroom and had to smell the pungent mixture of Rod and Tom's anal vapours. She tried to keep it together but her eyes betrayed her countenance. It was great to win my first trophy even it it was a spoon.

Big thanks to Eric for throwing another fun, successful tourney. Thanks to all my opponents for fun games.
My write up is here (http://gwpertinent.blogspot.com/2011/03/canadian-open-2011-result-top-50.html) it should be fed into facebook in the next day or so. |

What a great weekend!
Thanks to Tristan & Sarah for picking me up in TO & letting me crash at thier place Friday night.
Thanks toLaurent for the ride back to the bus terminal Sunday after the tourney.
Thanks to Eric & his parents for letting me crash Saturday night.
Thanks to Craig for a fun night hosting everyone Saturday night.
-------------------------------------------------
Eric Grade A tourney again! (mind Your your tie breakers blow! (1st in 3 catagories & 3rd in one & I finish 2nd! )
Game One, vs Sol: Dwarf vs Wood Elf, Ice Rain (same rules of pouring rain, all game, hampered the Wood Elves early, combined with an opening BLITZ on the 1st kick off, spelled Dooom for the Wood Elves early game. Casualties were low 2-1 for my Dwarf team. 1st & only TD scored by me on I thimnk it was turn 13 or 14. Following kick off to the Wood Elf team, a 2nd BLITZ! Final score my Dwarf team wins 1-0 Cas 2-1)
--------------------------------------------------------------
Game Two, vs Tristan: Dwarf vs Undead, quite a back & forth game with 4 casualties shed to both teams it really could have went either way. Tristan losing his Ghoul with wrestle very early, then also losing his Wight with guard , made key situation plays difficult for him. All around a close contest. Final score, my Dwarf team wins 2-1 (Cas 4-4)
---------------------------------------------------------------
Game Three, vs Craig: Dwarf vs Lizardmen, Craig's first attempt at using this race. (personally despite the result, I think he played this team well. (in fact I'd suggest he play them more, as he would probably find successs with them. Sadly for him my dice were neat pefection all game, plus yet again on 2 kick offs to my opponent I got a BLITZ! His Q'ermitt-cicle, Voodoo taunt, Jazz Hand Shuffle to my dice rolls really made the game very entertaining! Final score my Dwarf Team wins 3-0 (Cas 4-0)
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Game Four vs Laurent: Dwarf vs Skaven, the BLITZ suddenly turned its ugly head my way! Combine that with a set up that was poor for defending the Blitz, spell a 2-0 lead for Laurent. It's a game I think I really should have tied, but I'm not going to play the "woulda, shoulda, coulda" game now. His Rat Ogre with Claw, Mighty Blow Block getting fouled out on turn 3 helped a lot. Final score my Dwarf Team loses 1-2 (Cas 5-0)
----------------------------------------------------------------
Game Five vs Rob: Dwarf vs Dwarf, from the opening kick off it looked like both teams 2 die blocks were going to be useless, then suddenly my teams unorthadox one die blocks seemed to be nothing but Pows! His losing a runner early gave him an up hill challenge early on. That challenge became extreamly difficult when it became 2-0. Plus the challenge seemed imposible with his block dice like this "Double Skull, ReRoll, Double Skull" or "Double Skull, ReRoll, Skull Push, Frenzy, Double Skull!" It was nice to get my 1st ever NAF win in 9 match ups vs a guy I taught bloodbowl to!!!
Final Score my Dwarf Team wins 2-0 (Cas 3-1)
---------------------------------------------------------------
A great showing for my Dwarf Team's 2nd tourney!
Thanks to all that came, great to see new faces. Thanks to all my opponents for 5 fun games! Thanks again to Eric for a great Job. Thanks goes out to the Store that hosted us.
See You all hopefully soon! |
