A recent poll on the Talk Fantasy Footbal forums showed that 43% of the people who voted (117 voters, as of right now) would accept a well developed Brettonian team, with plasmoid's team in mind (found here: http://www.plasmoids.dk/bbowl/BBBretonnians.htm )
There has been some significant debate, though most of it has descended into name-calling and bickering. I have come here to try and get a more legitimate conversation about Brets as a BB team, and bring this to the attention of the people who have a say as to which teams are allowed at the tourneys.
43%, while not a majority, is a significant amount. In fact, not all of the current 24 teams can likely boast this much support. I, for one, think that diversity in gameplay is one of the things that makes Blood Bowl the glorious game that it is, and one of the things that keeps us all going back to it year after year. I think the Brets could bring additional diversity to the game, and with the NAF actually looking into it, it could actually become an official add-on team.
So, this is a poll to simply raise awareness that the Brets have some significant support, and to also confirm that it is universal. |

No thanks and imho the poll on TFF is skewed your data is wrong (sorry but 43% saying yes and the other four options are for not having them just worded in different contexts so 57% against)
however i applaud your efforts and honestly thing you'll get more balanced poll results here. |

No thanks. House ruled fine. But the only reason the 3 new teams are part of the NAF is because they were approved by all 5 members of the BBRC on 3 different votes (2007, 2008 and 2009). The Brettonian team was never approved by a majority of the BBRC in any of the 8 annual votes that were made by the BBRC while they were around (years 2002 to 2009) |

Thank you for that, Galak. That is very informing, and great knowledge to have. Of course, people can house rule anything, I am just wondering how popular the idea of house ruling a Brettonian team was.
Also, I did acknowledge that 43 percent was for and the rest against, although it was worded a little unclear. Thank you for the clarity. The voting here, while less votes as of now, does not seem to be in the same direction. This is telling to me, and I honestly just wanted a more complete opionion on the matter. Of course, more votes are still encouraged for the best-rounded statistic. |

They were in one of the Citadel Journals during the 90s so many considered official part of 3ed. |

I would like to see a poll with the header "How many would like to hear no mention of the word Bretonnians in Blood Bowl again?" Seriously dude over here it's a broken record that comes up every 6-7 months. We already have Norse, Humans and Amazons, we don't need Nuln, or Kislev, Estalia or any other Human denomination of the Old World. LRB is done. If it's ever to be opened up again, bring in Khorne, Tzeentch and Slaanesh first.
2 cents. |

Disagree here. There's enough Chaos with the addition of Nurgles.
My two cents.
