This here is a direct copy of my painting blog over on TFF. Well, more or less at least. Anyhows, I was asked to put it up over here, so here it is.
Thrudball has been and gone. And so has the Norse team - sold for the benefit of the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation. It was a great weekend, but before it went, I made sure to take a few photos of the completed team.
(this is a close up of the Snow Troll's arm - it says nazgob in Viking runes according to google)
I really enjoyed painting them, even if I did hit a wall part way through. I just don't have the patience to paint 16 models to the same colour scheme. Unfortunately, my next project is likely to be goblins. Ah well. I'll start work soon, but only once I start some real work.
***edit***
I almost forgot.
I took my Wood Elves to Thrud and am very pleased to say that I won this:
To say I'm pleased is an understatement. Thanks to everyone who voted - it really made my weekend.
For those of you who may not have seen my Wood Elves before, here they are:

I didn't come second - came 10th. That said, I was on Table 1 going into the last round.
I've got the neomics goblins at the moment. Stunning models. |

Congrats both for the win, and for the amazing paint jobs!
I like the work you did on those Norse but those woodies are something else!

I've decided to migrate. I've been thinking about branching out a bit, so I thought you might all like to know that I am still blogging, but elsewhere. I'll still post here, but probably limited to pictures.

cool, anywhere is better than TFF
nice writing, though damn you for the cliffhanger,
that stuff looks handy
after a quick google it seems it is rebranded Oyumaru, so if you search for that instead of instant mould (mold if you are americano) it is nearly half the price, you can get it in different colours as well as clear too if that floats your boat
how many sticks do you get in a packet? it looks like 3 but there may be two layers of them, that oyumaru stuff comes with 6 sticks in a pack |

Thank You again Nazgob
I tel you to see the model in your hand is just remarkable. Pictures cannot do him justice. Plus it is a bitchin model
Like Nazgob said it is a VERY limited model (100 and that is it)
65 are already committed to entrants (plus they will be able to buy more at the show).
Let me know if you want one reserved @ £11 or $16.50 shipped |
