Bids:

[list]1) Zootsuitjeff: Las Vegas USA
2) Glamdryn : New York State USA
3) Alkaline13: Chicago USA
/list]

We have the bids we are about to send them to the voters.

The list of voters will be put up on this thread after the vote. The reason for doing it after the vote is to avoid any accusations (however unlikely) of people exerting any influence on the voting process.

The specific votes will not be revealed but hopefully we can give a genral rationale for the choice.

I will also post the Selection Criteria that each bidder recieved shortly.

Cheers,
JTB

I believe April(ish) is the plan but I will leave that for the winners to announce officially.

The ranking of the bids were:

1) Las Vegas,
2) Chicago
3) New York State

The main rationale was the team and the bid from Las Vegas was very well established and developed. Also, a number of voters pointed out that it was "Vegas Baby"!
Not everyone has "Vegas Baby" as their number one priority but in terms of meeting the criteria listed above the Las Vegas bid did very very well.

Dave

Dave; born in 1974, married and father of two.
Loves: Music, both making and listening and sports.
Started off his career as music teacher but is not an Autism Apecialist working with children with a severe mental handicap.

My BB career started when 3rd ed was re-released. I knew the game from pictures in a 1995 White Dwarf that featured an interview with Gary Moorley. His Norse were visible there. I started with Necromunda and later Warhammer but when 3rd ed was rereleased I was hooked.

A few years later, I started a league with a friend and became active on TBB. The first DO was announced there and I enrolled straight away. It was a mind blasting experience that kicked off the BUBBLE league in Utrecht where I became commissioner just a month later and I also started playing with Lucy in the ABBA league in Amsterdam. Being a frequent Tulips - visitor I got in touch with many of the better known faces in BB, even lifting me to VP four years ago.

After visiting several tournaments in the fist year we decided that BUBBLE needed a tournament on its own, we hosted the 8th last year. The DO also moved place from Amsterdam to Utrecht and the last three of those were also organized by the BUBBLE league. The first WC was a no-go for me as it fell right on top of my son’s birthday. When bids for WCII were asked for I asked Lucy about doing it, together, in Amsterdam. The rest is history.

Lucy

In 2002 Norse and I started to organise T5. The oldest international fan organised BB tourney after Resurrection. These days the biggest (and most likely) only invitational tourney world wide (?)
In 2003 I started the Dutch Open. For several years the biggest international tourney in Europe and oldest big fan tourney after Spikey. One of the few tourneys in the world with a bigger international attendance than a national one. Dave took over the Dutch Open after 2008.
In 2003, Redfang and I kickstarted the Eurobowl and organised the first one.
in 2011, Dave and I organised the NAF world Cup.

I have a small group of very reliable BB tourney helpers. Not very well known, but for me invaluable Niels and Edwin.

I run the Amsterdam League since 2001.

The NATC coordinating committee

Notorious_JTB: Joe

Non-voting Chairperson.
Canada: Ontario

NTO-Canada,
JTB started playing back in 1988 with 2nd ed, and spent a lot more time convincing people to play than actually playing. He really got going with 3rd ed (prior to working for GW) and then had an awesome league experience during his undergrad at Sheffield University (3 divisions with 20+ players coaching a team in each division). JTB took a break in 2000 when he went to grad-school but he played in the first Cam Carnage in 2003 (but no one explained NAF to me) and then won the student national championship in 2004. JTB really got back into the game in 2005 after moving to Canada when he met twodiceblock and started serious tournament play in 2006. Since then JTB has become the #15 all-time contributor on thenaf.net with 1124 posts. In 2007 JTB started the CCKO tournament in Ottawa (home of the “Legendary” Skills and Improvements Draft) and worked with twodiceblock and galakstarscraper to bring the Deathbowl to Ottawa from Montreal. During 2007 JTB had his best tournament year and became the Canadian #1. Subsequently took on the National tournament organiser role and after becoming a Canadian citizen he Captained Team Canada at the Amsterdam World Cup in 2011.
He stepped away from running the CCKO and Deathbowl in late 2010 due to starting a family but spent a lot of time trying to make the NATC happen. Now JTB is expecting his second child (in March 2012) he is trying to work out how to get to attend the event………

Jonny P: Jonathan

USA

Jonny P has been an NAF Member since the inception of the organization in 2003. Before that, from 1996 to 2002 he was the Commissioner of the Old World Football League. Once moving to the tournament scene, he made annual appearances at two of the USA's largest, the Chaos Cup and ZlurpeeBowl. He ran his first NAF Tournament in 2006, the revival of the Underworld Cup at University of Michigan, then in 2008 in his home turf of Chicago, he created the Stupor Bowl tournament. That saw 36 coaches in it's first year then he moved it to the Adepticon convention to maximize exposure, resources, and attendance. After that he has created such themed tournaments as Headbangers Ball, Bunker Brawl, and the Heroes Challenge. In 2011, he took over the Chaos Cup from Tom Anders, and along with his trusted committee, achieved the highest attendance ever at the Chaos Cup with 56 coaches. Chaos Cup 2012 looks to exceed that and with the help of his worldwide Zlurpcast podcast, he is well-known and respected in the global NAF community.

I also provided organizational support for Spike up in Vancouver in 2011.

AnthonyTBBF: Anthony
Canada: Ontario

NAF co-founder, 2nd NAF president.

I got my start running Blood Bowl tournaments around Toronto as part of the infamous TBBF. We initially started with the Orion Cup, and also started up the Canadian Open. Through those events I met John Lewis. Eventually after a few beers the seed for the NAF was planted and John, myself and a handful of other intrepid BB fans, the NAF was born. I served as the first Vice-President and the second President. Around that time I was also travelling to more BB tournaments and attended the first Blood Bowl in the UK (aka Blood Bowl Resurrection) as well as the following two events. Shortly after I started working as the Studio Manager at GW Canada and ran the first Spike! in Toronto. I've also written for Blood Bowl Magazine, mainly as the voice behind Ask Lord Borak. Since then I've become a dad and husband so haven't been as involved in the international BB community but I continue to play BB with the XTBBF (our old league, reborn) and organizing the Orion Cup.

Spazzfist: Craig

Canada: Ontario

Spazzfist has hosted the Challenge of Q'ermitt tournament for its seventh year this year. He has also been a large influence on the shaping of Blood Bowl tournament scene in Ontario and Quebec. Spazz has played 209 ranked games in 44 tournaments, and will be ranked with all 24 teams come March 2012. Spazz is the #1 ranked Nurgle's Rotters coach in the world. He is also the most prolific poster on the NAF forums, with over 3600 posts.

Stopped in post secondary and didn't start again until 2005 (around 8 years). Started a league and met many of the people I know in the city from it. Joined NAF and played in my first tournament in 2007 (CCKO). Help with NAF since 2009. Only manage about 6-7 tournaments a year, but wish I could make many more.
