Hi,
after lurking here for a bit I did decide to sign up.
As a welcome I figured it might be nice to show off a little project I´m working on.
This time I can definitely say the pictures do the board justice. Flash does drown out some of the detail and falsifies some of the colors a bit
I placed another 2 endzone tiles around the board. A 4 way rumble would be possible this way. with 8 tiles and a more random dungeon layout (not placing all tiles in a big square) a 4 way game would be more fun though.
one endzone tile is a bit brighter then the others. This one needs another coat of wood enamel.

Super!
I've been checking this project of yours in TFF too, but I've completely missed that detail on one of the walls (that looks like a sewer entrance).
One of the problems of the "newer" editions of DB was the 'bottle neck' effect many games turned into, but those old board layouts seem 'roomy' enough to avoid such issues.
Perhaps a game report would prove my theory... (* hint * hint *)
Love it, congrats!

@Axtklinge, a game report is one of the things I'm trying to arrange right now. Partially to find out if the pillar section needs walls and partially to playtest 2 more dungeon sections I am working on.
@Johnny P, I would be honoured. Will try to get this bit finished asap before making more dungeon sections.
The sections I made and showed here were copied from the original Dungeonbowl game from 1989. These still need a lot of detail work before they are finished, but I'm working on that right now. Started adding detail and decorations to the dungeon tiles.
Here's a comparison wih the game tiles for the original Dungeon Bowl game

When playing Bloodbowl I mostly use 3rd edition rules with the Deathzone special play cards and reference sheets.
For Dungeonbowl I wrote up something allowing me to use the 3rd ed. rules, but adding from 2nd ed. and the Dungeonbowl Compendium.
I´m still on the lookout for an opponent to try this board and write up a game report |
