Yeah we're already on it. Wink The forewarning of Kaare coming back to defend his title will also include the warning of Swedish Power!! Shocked A few other former Spike! Champions will be there as well as Grither from Utah. I couldn't pick a favourite right now. Going to be a great weekend. Very Happy

20 hours to go until game time! Looking forward to it! Very Happy

For the out-of-towners arriving tonight I'll meet you in the hotel lounge after I'm done set-up for tomorrow. I'll be the really good looking guy holding the trophy. Wink There are over a dozen others from our club that are staying at the hotel tonight as well so if I'm later than expected I'll be sure to send a few of those guys down there beforehand.

For everyone else - hope to see you tomorrow!

Gj.

Day one is done. Kaare is 3-0 walking into day 2 after beating the current Chaos Cup Champion in round 3. Great weekend so far. I'm typing hammered and on virtually no sleep, but wanted to give you guys an update! Looking forward to tomorrow.

Craig.

Man, its always nice to think you are good at Blood Bowl, until you play some Europeans. Then reality sets in. Try and keep one of the majors on this continent this year guys. They took both last year, and already took one this year.

04:00 AM over in foggy, rainy British Columbia right now after partying some more with the Albertans after the tournament and I'm still going. I honestly don't know what's keeping me up right now since I had no sleep Friday, about 6 hours on Saturday, plus too many beers to count, but I'm still buzzing. What a GREAT WEEKEND!! Very Happy

50 coaches turned up for what turned out to be the tightest tournament I've ever had the pleasure to run. As Day 2 took it's course we honestly could not pick a winner until the completion of the last round. Day 2 saw Kaare (kfoged) lose a tight fought match against Travis (frostitute) from Oregon, the only other 3-0 coach in the fourth round, only to see Travis lose to Tyler (lordchaos) in the 5th round, and Tyler lose to Kaare in the 6th. Nobody at the tournament went 6-0. This one was decided on head-to-head and bonus points.

The Spike! stayed in North America this year! The 2013 Spike! Champion is Travis Childs (frositute) from Oregon playing Undead. Travis went 5th last year with Underworld. Great player and has been attending the Spike! since 2010. Kaare (kfoged) placed Second, and Magnus Lyrberg (Mago) from Sweden came Third.

Current Chaos Cup Champion David Granberg (meowth) from Sweden took Endzone Hog (Most Touchdowns), as well as his compatriot Anders Jansson (NIWnW) taking the Goblin Tribal Leeg Award (Best Stunty) - taking BOTH the Best Stunty Team awards at the NA Majors this year! Three out of four Swedes walked away with a glittering prize at Spike! this year. You guys weren't kidding that Team Sweden came with a mission. Very Happy 4 out of 5 Europeans took home silverware.

BIG thanks to Kaare for making the trek out to the Pacific North West to defend his title. You almost did it again this year buddy! It was great seeing you. And HUGE props to Jonas (ozt) for organizing the crew from Sweden! The suits were PHENOMENAL! Very Happy

Great job Bryan (grither) on making it to both NA Majors as well this year - it was great seeing you again. Thanks to Damion and Sean for making the trip out across the rockies again, plus all our friends from Oregon and Washington State for coming out and making a great weekend for us! And I often forget to mention and take for granted, but thanks to all the TB crew that came out to participate and represent.

Full results will be posted on the site shortly. NAF results will be posted as soon as I track down a few IDs, plus some sleep of course. Wink The glittering prizes were:

Spike! 2013 Champion: Travis Childs (Frostitute) - Undead
Second Place: Kaare Foged (kfoged) - Dark Elves
Third Place: Magnus Lyrberg (Mago) - Wood Elves

Outstanding Painting: Mike Adams (Nitnit) - Amazons
Outstanding Sportsmanship: Jason Weaver (Weav) - Dark Elves

Goblin Tribal Leeg (Best Stunty Team): Anders Jansson (NIWnW) - Halflings
Endzone Hog (Most Touchdowns): David Granberg (meowth) - Dark Elf
Rambo (Most Casualties): Eric Weber (raindog) - Orc
The Wall (Best Defence): Murray Campbell (Gimli) - Lizardmen
Glass Joe (Lowest Score): Kristian Hargreaves (wedge22) - Ogres

Thanks to everybody for a great weekend and already looking forward to next year!! Very Happy Very Happy

Best regards,
Craig.

Thanks Jonny it was a blast. New location was near the border and our hostess was awesome. The room was fantastic with open windows and a private outside area for players to take a breath. This year we actually had to turn the air conditioning down which was a relief.

Full NAF results are up. Full results for 2013 will be up on the Spike! site shortly. Thanks again guys for coming out! Very Happy

Gj.
