Hey Blood Bowl world,
I was wondering if any of you had any tips on teaching the game to new bloods. It is very important to get the game out to a new segment to the world. |

1) Use the ready-made teams with the cards that were in the boxed-set. I should have some PDFs somewhere.
2) Start with the basic rules. First play a match without assists or anything that does not help explain the very basic mechanisms of ball handling and blocking. Don't underestimate how difficult the art of blocking with assists can be to first-time players.
3) use the 4-minute and illegal procedure rules (if someone is really persistent in forgetting the turnmarker). Keeping the speed is really important to enjoying the game. If people take too long for their turns they tend to like the game less than when they're forced to think on their feet. To keep the suspense it can help if the teacher takes less than 4 minutes so he will make more mistakes. |

That was one of the big issues blocking. Any one else? Also, let me know if you have those PDF's you speak of, it would be of great help. |

Good idea for a new segment of thenaf.net! Will make it so in the new year. |

Sent you a link by PM, the link will be valid for 7 days. Wouldn't mind putting them in a NAF format, is someone able to provide me templates and/or check that we're staying clear of IP infringement? |
