A question came up last night about Stab in our league. The question was, does it replace you Blitz (if you have to move prior to doing it) or can it be used as part of a Blitz? The example given was, a figure with Stab could declare a Blitz, move some number of spaces, Blitz an opposing figure, then complete it's move and end by Stabbing the same or some other figure.
My answer to this was that Stab replaces Block and that a Blitz, as defined in the rule book, is a Move action combined with a Block action so the Stab replaces the Block portion of the Blitz and does not allow both a Block and Stab as part of a Blitz.
As the Commissioner of the league I made my ruling prior to the beginning of the season and all of the players ar OK with that, but I have been asked to see how this is interpreted by other members of the community.
Thanks for your time.

The stab takes the place of a block in a Block or a Blitz action.
You seem to have riled correctly. |

You and PubBowler are both correct. The stab replaces the Block part of the Blitz or Block actions. |

If you have the stab and frenzy skill, could you throw a normal block and then stab with the second block? |

Yes for several reasons:
1st when frenzy each block is calculated separately
2nd you do not declare Stab you declared Blitz or Block as your player action
3rd Stab skill is used as a choice instead of a block so you may declare it's use at will. (unlike chainsaw) |

Not at all because you have to roll a push or defenders stumble result to get a 2nd block.
You can use Multiple Block to get a 2nd block. |

Just want to make sure I get that:
Even with Frenzy, no second Stab (cause you don't roll block dice);
And doesn't Stab stop your movement? ie: you can't continue your movement even though you have MA available after stabbing?

If you have Frenzy and Stab:
If you use Stab instead of the 1st Block, no 2nd Block (100% sure on this one).
If you Block 1st, then you can use Stab on the 2nd, but only if you're entitled to throw a 2nd Block obviously (not 100% on that one, but that would be the way we played it). |

Do I need to pay movement for the stabbing during the Blitz? Or is it equivalent to Hypnotic Gaze and Foul, where you just need to get next to the victim and then stab? This is important to know if the stabber needs to GFI. |

Stab is done instead of throwing of a block, and to do the block in a blitz you need to pay a movement point. So, if an extra movement point were needed then a GFI could be attempted to gain it. |

That would be incorrect. There is no way to follow a stab therefore no need to pay for the extra space. |

Batcok is correct, it seems. Stabbing costs a movement, as using the chainsaw does (where you can also not follow up). |

Can you Blitz - Stab-Multi-Block? This is a running debate in our league. I know you could do it at one point, but I am not sure on the new rules. |

Mutiple Block is only allowed for a Block action, not allowed during a Blitz action. Stab on the otherhand can be combined with Multiple Block. |
