Hi all,
Elyoukey has been working some technical wonderment, and there's a lovely new League Finder on thenaf.net.

http://www.thenaf.net/leagues/leagues-locator/

Take a sec to add yours, it's super quick! If you don't have a league, use it to find one!

Cheers,
Mike

Thanks for the plug Mike and AWESOME job Lucas! That map is phenomenal. Hopefully in the upcoming months we can start filling in the areas that traditionally have been out of our vision, like central Canada and the US. No tournaments in there, but there has to be leagues.

Again great job! Very Happy

Craig.

Hum...
I've just received an email stating that my league has been deleted from the database because I haven't updated it in the past 8 months!?!
(And after a quick check, it did disappear from the "BB League Links" map, so it confirms the mail).

Now, that actually left me a bit annoyed because I don't remember having read anywhere that I needed to update the "League Links".
It might be stated somewhere, so maybe it's my bad, but if it is, it seems to me that 8 months is a rather strange time frame.
I understand the "links" may need some sort of way to make sure the league is active, but still even if I wanted to announce our yearly tournament, I'd be busted because it's yearly, not "8 monthly".

Quite frankly, is someone cared to take a peek on the link previously provided in the "League links", it would find a blog with somehow regular updates.
Or at least a warning mail, with a couple of weeks in advance, prior to turn the "kill switch" ON.
Ranting...

Hi,
understandable rant - my understanding was that there should have been a warning email, I know I had one, and others have had too, but also I know there was a slight problem with the tool. Please do pop in back on there, and you should get an email every 6 months just asking you to click on a link to say the league is still current.

It was an autodelete, not an admin decision, so the link would have needed to be clicked (but obviously the previous email did not appear, for which I apologise).

Mike

Hi,
Thanks for taking the time to clear that up.

As you confirm, I suspected that it would probably be an autodelete thing.
As mentioned, an warning email would have done wonders. Hopefully I'll get one next time.

Cheers,
A.

One of our local leagues has disappeared as well. I had a hard enough time convincing them to submit a link the first time, so I doubt they'll be returning.

I understand the intent of the autodeletions, but it's a shame if that feature causes the list to be unreliable.
