While the work by the NAF League Committee continues, in the interim we are aware that there are a few leagues out there who would like to use OBBLM but are not confident about getting it set up, so have a solution! You can see full details here, but basically if you are a NAF member you can have your League hosted for free, or get full guidance about getting it set up, so no excuses!
Merry Christmas!

We are talking about moving our League (currently in 9 season) to OBBLM for season 10. I have tons of questions about what it can do or what it cannot do. I think the only way of knowing it to get a site set up and play test it a bit. We don't want to to lose the history of the teams, players and past games, but think a site for the players to see would be best.
Is it possible to get a site set up for me and kilowog1 as the admin to play around with? |

You don't have to lose your old teams unless you want to be included in the NAF's league tracking program. You just have to manually input existing SPPs and skills. |

So if we wanted all the past seasons and the stats from those seasons and games. Would simply have to go back and recreate each season and input stats for each game? Is that correct? |

Right, that is possible. But you can't just have a player start with 5 casualties or whatever without creating past games to account for them. Or at least I'm not aware of a way to do so. My league only converted to OBBLM about a month ago, so I'm probably missing some tricks. |

We also have every team play the Halfling All Stars as an easy game to get some spp's. All the Halflings since they are all-stars have one random skill and we never take stats for them. They reboot each game like a team made of Star players. Would this effect anything?
Again maybe I should just play with it to see if it will do what I want it to do. What do I need to do to set that up Nate? |

I don't think so. You (by which I mean "an OBBLM admin") could just keep them at 6 SPPs and switch the skills (or not) every game. So if you wanted to keep real stats for the halfling stars you could do so, and then just manually remove SPPs to keep them from ever leveling up. |

And an OBBLM admin could be a local league admin, so just a member of the league. |

Of course.
Speaking of which...Steve, don't you guys have a website for the podcast and tournaments? Unless you're working with limited space, you can just put OBBLM on there. I guess I don't know much about how the free hosting works. Do you have access to the settings file(s) and all that? |

That's Scott, I'm Steve.
But yeah, we do have webspace, but it's not free. Plus we're not the most tech saavy of people, so having it hosted by NAF seemed easiest.
Plus, might as well make use of them when offered.
But the idea of hosting on our own has come up. |

(Have you considered trading? I think Scott suits you.)
But that's cool. Hope you enjoy it. |

Can non-NAF-members use this version of NAF-OBBLM? There might be some people in my league, not sure. |
