Quick Question about the Animosity/Diving Catch combo.
It is clear to me that I can throw to an empty square in front of a diving Catcher without having to do the Animosity check.
It is stated in the rules that after a failed Animosity check the thrower can still change his mind and throw to another player, but only to a player from the same race.
Now the follwing situation:
I want to throw with my rat-thrower directly to a diving catch goblin, but fail the Animosity check. Is it now still allowed to throw to the empty square in front of the goblin or do I really have to throw the "second attempt" to another rat-player?
Background is that with DC I would gain a +1 on the catch roll, which I don't get on the empty square. |

No you can't, as a failed Animosity roll means you have to "throw to a player of the same race", as you noted in your post. An empty square is not a member of "the same race" (unless you're using a very weird roster). |
