Hmm, with the likelihood of a handful of Massachusetts tournaments this year and the possibility of some form of Vespucciland Cup getting rolling, this leads to thoughts of a possible state Championship. I think this could work easily enough in the burgeoning Mass circuit, and other states might consider it.
For Mass, it looks like ArisiaBowl will be the first event of each year on the MLK weekend. Arisia is pretty well committed to having us back since they're paying for the legacy trophy. So on that Sunday in 2007 , we could host the 2006 State Grand Championship. Invitational for the winners from the circuit of all the previous year's state tourneys. 2 or 3 rounds of play. A system of allowing alternate high-placers could be worked out, so we have at least 4 players out of the pool of folks available on that day.
May not be able to do this as NAF sanctioned; or if it was open to winners of NAF tourneys, and the eligibility system published in advance, could that work?
Thoughts?
Cheers,

An event must be open to be NAF sanctioned. |

I think the Naf makes exceptions like Eurobowl. |

I don't get this...I thought "Open" meant all inclusive. If this is an established exception to qualifing for NAF Sanctioning...shouldn't the criteria for that be posted somewhere? |
