BTW- i got 70 points my last round, so that would have bumped me up a couple of spots in the standings.
And the 120 Tr was good. It really gave people a lot more flexibility and choices they could use for their teams.
See you all at the Qermitt.

Anyway, I had fun this weekend and all my opponents were awesome.

Like I say you have to be good (Which we all know he is ) AND you have to be lucky to win the big slab of swag at the end!
...which was why the Goblins had the WORST streak of luck on day two I've ever seen...unbelievable....my two loses should have been ties or wins except for a sudden plague of Ian's "one's" on me! And that tie should have been a win except for my imitation of Ian crossing the goal line!
And that first "tie" on day one was a Goblin win. However on "instant reply" it dawned on us that we'd screwed up one critical die roll. We replayed it and the Goblins STILL pulled it off, however I felt since it was my responcibility to have caught the goof the first time I argued it should be made a Tie instead. The honourable coach of the PMS (my opponent) agree and our petition to the commish was accepted. (He was okay both before and after the replay keeping it a win, but nope, had to be made a tie I felt, as it's my fault I figured.)
End result is the Goblins would have had a very different day two...le sigh...
But it goes to show what keeps me in the tournaments for Bloodbowl and what made me drop out of the Magic ProTour years ago. These are the most decent, fun-loving and honourable coaches I get the pleasure of meeting up with a gooning the crap out of!
So Game on!
p.s. And the millions of Goblin fans out there want the old Pitch Invasion back...this Elves of Keebler one just bites...

Kolja I was just wondering how many TD's you scored? I scored 14, was just wondering how far behind you I was.
Rod.
As far as the 120 format, its a nice change but not something I'd like at all tournies. For me I think variety amongst tournies is a great thing, some do things one way some do things other ways.

Hi Rod,
I got 16 so it was pretty close. I'm glad I pushed for extra TDs when I had the chance.

Next year VBZ. Next year we go for sure and show those lads how the game is supposed to be played
So if I have it correctly you recieved the 1200K before the event to build a team and the team was static throughout the event. Correct? Would have been interesting to try. I Agree with Rod whole heartedly. It's good to see events getting their own flavor. The same idea over and over again gets a little old. Some flavors you want to keep going back to and others are for those times when you're in the mood for something different |

PLus you can spend the cash to buy skills for guys (2 kills or one trait per guy).
Skill 30k
Doubles 50k
Stat increase was high (like 80k?)
+1 Str was 100k I think. |

Its ConnORS! First you kill my troll slayer on the first turn, now you spell my name wrong, thats it Kolija, its really on now
well, finishing 2nd wasn't too bad for my first tourney I guess. I really liked the 1200k format, it really makes things different and you can see some really interesting teams out there, more than you would with just 1000k.
Overall, it was a good weakend. |

I have a quick question about the scoring, what was sportsmanship out of? What was the maximum you could get in sportsmanship?
& how did it add up?

Right. Which would more or less end you up with a team that had run through a standard tourney format. Depending on your skill choices of course. Did anyone miss the team building aspect of the tournament. It's interesting that there is a movement going on towards making a tourney more like a league, ie. a lot of team building, and along comes an event with no team building. At least during the event. |

Yes normal Skills were 30K
Doubles were 50K
AG & MA increases were 80K
ST was 100K
You could give a player two upgrades as long as they were only 2 normal Skills. (The one exception is Ben of coarse, CHEATER! )

Ya but 2 of my losses, I scored 30 points (lost by one & inflicted more CAS)
& my tie I got 40 points (Inflicted more CAS)
So when I lost I at least made it a close loss, except againts Six Foot Dwarf! (How many ones can a guy roll?)

Quote: Kevin mcNall was bashiest (inflicted most casualties)
does anyone know how many casuualties his orcs finished with? I know I had 14 by the end of it, and I'm kinda curious to find what the other teams totals were. |

I inflicted 12, 8 of them by my Rat Ogre.
I'm still curious on what the Sportsmanship was out of.
I mean we gave out a sore of one to five, 2 people got a score of 8, & 2 people got a score of 11, the rest got a 10. How was this number calculated?
