Not yet, we are still considering a couple of options...

It won't be at the Dominion tavern this time though.
Not that it was a real problem last time.

Well, the Dominion Tavern was good, but we can't be there Saturday evening. It's too crowded. And that's going to be a problem, as I expect that we will finish quite late on the Saturday.

And I'm not sure how well the tables will accomodate the DeathBowl pitches.

For the DeathBowl, I think that we need a different location.

Marc-Andre

Glen would love that, however its just not quite big enough, although we have had 5 regular league games going in the apartment at once.

No we are looking at a couple of places, the galleries SAW, the Carling Tavern (although Rob Keefe was our connected guy there and he's off to Toronto Sad ) and maybe a local community hall...

It will all be ok, I am confident of that.

I have been hearing for a while that Rob is supposed to be coming to Toronto. When is this going to happen? Do you know whereabouts in Toronto he will be moving to?

I was also wondering whether the Deathbowl will be making use of The Draft?

Rob moved this weekend.
He's living in etobicoke.

The deathbowl won't be using the draft. No need to over do it now is there Wink

The CCKO will continue to use the draft in subsequent incarnations.

So what skill advancement system will the Deathbowl be using?

And while on the topic, is there any word of the next CCKO?

We'll let you know this soon. We had a cool plan when all the games were deathbowl and now it might need tweaked.

The CCKO should be in january again, but we're not worrying about that one just yet!

Scoring system

Beating your direct opponent (win) = 3 points
Tieing with your direct opponent (Tie) = 1 point
Losing to your direct opponent (Loss) = 0 points

Bonus

Scoring the most TDs on the table = 2 points
Causing the most CAS on the table = 1 point

(CAS only count from blocking)

The full rules will be up this week.................

The Painting Scoring

There are a maximum of 2.5 points for painting (a little less than one "win") which most people should be able to get.

There are 6 painting categories, each worth 1/2 a point so you can miss one and still get your full 2.5 points.

The categories are:

Painted : All models are fully painted, with no metal or undercoat showing. Three colours are the minimum allowed.

Based: All models have a textured base

Numbered: All models are numbered in a visible way

Detailed: All models are highlighted/shaded or whatever so they don't just look like the "flat" basic colour

Conversion: At least one model on the team has had significant work done on it to make if different from the production version.

Representative: All the models on the team are representative of the player they depict. E.g. the lizardmen team has small models for the skinks and big models for the saurus (they don't need to be lizards though, they could be big and little monkeys for example Wink ) Another way to get this 1/2 point is to use the ring colour basing scheme. You could have a team of 11 linemen models but paint the blitzer base rings red, the catchers yellow, the throwers white, the blockers green and the linemen black ala 2nd edition.
