| Actually if you want to paint yellow over black, use Leprous Brown first. It's a nice shade for yellow too. |

I was always using black but when I started painting pro-elves and a norse team ( 4 a friend of mine, totally Fryslan boppe !!! ) It didn't seem like a good plan using black so I spreyed them white and it suits me just fine.

It really depends on what I what to achieve. Brighter colours get a white primer, and darker colours get a black primer. Mostly, though, it's black, as I tend to want darker, smother colours, and I get that with black.
