Easy, Zombie, my friend - those are certainly not characteristics of all Americans, just as the counter to these things do not characterize all those from Montreal... Wink

Murder, violence, human rights, & religion.

Nothing too serious?

Ya I'd say cracking jokes about religion is just gonna cause too much contraversey.

If you do not believe in God that is kool & those should respect your views. But you should also respect others views as well. Wheather you believe or not believe in God, I really do not think this forum is the propper or suitible place for discussion on this subject.

So clean slate, lets everyone drop the whole political jargon of the above 4 topics!

Thanks.....Rod

Dragging this topic back to the canadian open...

I have to say that the dice rules were a total and complete success. There where a couple complaints in jest and a few people who didn't really care but asked why bother. In the end though there wasn't a single complaint. Really how can someone complain without seeming suspicious? I can honestly say that I didn't hear a single person complain about their opponents dice rolls. I heard some people complain about their own dice rolls but coaches will be coaches Wink For the $20 it cost to get the dice it was money well spent by the TO. I only hope that other tournaments will start to follow suit and start making dice rules the tournament standard.

I would have like to keep a set of dice though. Sad
I sit at home and make little participation trophies for myself since I'll never get a real trophy. The dice would have been nice. So for future tournaments they could bump the entry fee up a dollar and let you keep the dice. Or even have commerative d6es made with a logo for the one.

You'll get a trophy before me!

Were all the results entered? I'm missing my game against Ed Basha. Not that it's a beg deal it was a draw, but didn't see any of his games up there. Also is there anywhere we can check out our painting points.

I don't think Ed Basha is a Naf member. I tried contacting him but got no response. I'll see what i can do regarding painting points.

If he isn't already he did sign up at the event. We just need to get a hold of him and confirm some details before we can enter his games. Anyone who played him will be missing that game until that time. Sorry for the delay!

A couple more things:

I just wanted to say a huge Thank You to everyone who came to the tourney. I certainly wasn't expecting 28 people! I'm glad we had such a great turnout and hope it will be even bigger next year. Also thanks to Ian Dundas for taking the reigns and filling in for me on Sunday. I apologize for having to leave so early but I know I left the event in good hands. I hope to see everyone at the Spike! in September as well!

About Painting - almost everyone got 10 points, with a handful getting 9 and one person getting a 7. Most points were lost for lack of basing, with a few exceptions.

Dice - The fee for the event was the cost to get into Pandemonium, so unfotunately we didn;t recover any money for costs like dice. In the future I may be able to let people keep the dice if they really want.
