just got off the phine with gw and to them there is less than 10 people have signed up so far.....
does any1 have any idea how people going to show who haven't purchased yet? |

Hey guys, GW still says that noting is definate yet, yes baccuss might have a picture in his head, but he has to work with GW to get the final say. As it stands...
But on the rules page that is Available to ALL OF CANADA, and not just NAF members. it does say that M.O.B.B is holding a tournament "Primer" on the friday, which usually means its optional. I know M.O.B.B is trying to push for it to count, but it still DOES NOT COUNT as of right now. Because no one has sanctioned it, not NAF, or Gamesworksop. GW is even saying that NAF is not responding to anything, so they still haven't worked it out (this is not even 2 weeks before the tournment)
So as it stands, (please let me know if' I'm wrong) its only the 3 games on the saturday that count, the rest are sort of exhibition games, as it says on the rules posted on the GW website from M.O.B.B and from Direct services.... *yes i know what everyone is saying, but lets face it, 2 of 3 sources say its this way, and the 3rd source can't even be contacted.
I know its hard baccuss because GW keeps interefering, but lets face it they're are the ones promoting it/funding it, they have the final say, especially if its at Gamesday, no where on my ticket does it even mention M.O.B.B...
Unless something changes, count me in on the Saturday only, I can't make the friday because i have a JOB, and if it stays the way GW says, then it'll only be the saturday that counts... I'll be there with some of the meanest orc's you've ever seen!
Got my ticket in hand, and my BB team is just resting at GW, play every friday night, looking forward to seeing some of you guys
Why don't you guys GIVE UP this year, and just let it be the 1 day that counts, and the other day the PRIMER just like it says, scratch this SPIKE as USELESS and next year make sure you/everyone gets on top of things and makes the SPIKE! cup amazing for next year! |

I don't follow you. Are you suggesting that they do not even have the tournament or that it should not count for anything. Either way you have to consider that there are people who are coming in from out of town who have gone to a lot of trouble to make arrangements to be there for this.
Personally, I think you just want everyone not to attend so that youy can win by default!

well spazzfist what about those who purchased tickets that are coming from out town on the basis of a 1 day tourney.... should they loss out now cause some want it to be 2 day tournay.....
look at carnage in the capital... it start on a friday and since i don't friday off i will not attend....
it's easier for people to decide wether they will show knowing what is going on |

Seriously, just make the Saturday the "Spike!" tourney and have it be 3 games.
Have the Friday just be for fun. Maybe have it as a 3 game tourney also with it's own prize.
Really, once people started to buy tickets and make travel plans for a Saturday only tourney the whole thing was decided - Saturday only.
