Ya Ken sucks! He has lost his touch.
The next up and coming top US coach is OMM. |

I had a great time way to go Rene!
Thanks Brian for a great tourney you have outdone yourself from Death-Bowl 2!
I faired ok with a 2-2-2 record & I do work in the USA so I guess part of the USA vs Canada thingy is mine (even Maureen said I was half American!)
Once again great job Brian & family/ friends for making this a great weekend!

Actually, we discussed this on friday night with the American crew that was up there, and we both decided that you should be on Team "All by yourself" since neither of us really awnted you
Hurry up and get back to the TBBF Rod, I'm missing those easy wins |

Ok it's time for a little post Death Bowl survey. What were the things you like the most? Where do you think improvement can be made? I'm perticularly interested in what people thought of the new 7's - Death Bowl boards. Were they better to play in than the Styrofoam boards? Did the black and red table cloths make the tables more usable/comfortable? How was lunch? Was the selection of drinks too much? Too little? How was the venue? I know the weather sucked but there's little I can do about that What did you think of the trophies? Did you like that the Death Bowl was a major? |

Kick off table sucks! LRB 4.0 Kick off table is better for tourney play.
Kick off result should not win you the game.....it should just alter the drive.
Riot---> lose to many turns when we came to play bloodbowl. Plus there is more incentive to stall in tourney play with the value of wins. With injury time you always have a chance to get a turn back.
Get the Ref---> your version is probably better for tourney play.
Blitz---> 5+D6...why bother? you get to move most of your team and throw blocks on the line screwing the other team anyway. With LRB 4.0 offense can better plan for blitz + it's more equal. Bash teams still get to hit the line and elf teams can still get into back field.
Pitch Invasion---> too much of a game winner for one off tourney game. LRB 4.0 you will most likely get TD but not guaranteed win for the whole game.
+10 pts for championship game....unneeded. I understand that top 4 players are involved in the game but they are playing for the championship! plus only the player who wins at the 2nd table really has a chance to jump up and take 2nd or 3rd and even that would be very hard. Didn't even make a difference in this tourney.
Deathbowl and 7's boards were great and so were table cloths.
Lunch NICE!!!
water + drinks = Great!!! Really liked the 7up cranberry!
Trophies were very well done! |

Trophies: Rocked. Only wish I had gotten the one Brie painted! Oh and that Axe too
Drinks: A little diet soda would be cool. Maybe there was some?
Pizza: Maybe a third variety to choose from, but it was tasty and filling.
BB7's: Boards were great, tablecloths were cool, but I'm still in the abandon this BB7's thing camp.
Stadiums: OMFG! Beautiful!!! Way to put pressure on your fellow TO's
Venue: Great place to host an event IMHO
Everyone who helped organize the event: |

Well I would just pop on here and say that I had no problems with the tournament at all.
Great place, great tables, the lunch was fine for a tournament, coffee in the morning (druelllllll)... pssst cream in coffee!!!
Anyway... my first Deathbowl, wont be my last. From a tactical standpoint, the deathbowl was my worst game... very disappointed with myself. OH well.. lots of room for improvement.

I'll make this to the point since im at work.
Things i would change;
1. less brake time in between games
2. move the bb7's to saturday as the last game. ( i dont mind playing four games in 1 day)
3. Sunday start at 9am
I think by lessening the brake time and adding the bb7's game on Saturday we would still be finsh by 7pm which is fine by me as the night life doesn't start until like 8 anyway.
By doing the above you get to sleep in an hour more on Sunday which is well needed when partying downtown.
It also gives you more time to play DB and enjoy it. By being rushed that last game with those 3m turns i was unable to cover Rene with a couple of more dwarves like i had planned to and things might have been different.
I would also like to be done at 5pm on Sunday not 8pm. That is just too late and is a big drag for people driving home that night.
Those are my thoughts and unless it's changed as i suggested, im not coming next year. jk
