The Con was a blast, and it was great seeing everyone, and joining in the feasting and drinking!

I was surprised when my Valholl Swanmaidens (Norse) won Most Casualties and 7th place. I thought my casualties were running a bit under average, but 6 in 1 game helped push them up to 14 total. Love all the Frenzy on the new Norse roster Twisted Evil

Cheers,
Mo

There were people wandering by the tourney who were quite surprised to find out the Blood Bowl was alive & well.

NAF should print up flyers to drop on the tables around the hallways at the con gving the links to NAF and the free game rules. And perhaps mentioning dealers at the con who might have suitable miniatures to use

Was nice putting a face to the name. Was fun playing with you. You were a great sport, especially turn 8 blitz Sad Hope to play you again.

Well the Edmonton crew just safely got back, and all four of us had a blast this year at the Gencon bowl! For some it was a great reunion with a lot of faces we've missed the last few years, and for some it was a rude welcome to the fold! Laughing Rolling Eyes (As the Apprentice Goblin coach ended up winless in all five games...just goes to show there's only one goblin coach to fear in North America. Shocked Very Happy )

It was fun to once again give the Human "Rebooters" a try and see how they'd do, and all my games were notorious for luck going all one way or the other. (Playing the inevitable Khemri winner, he had 16 perfect turns of Bloodbowl, not using a single reroll, rather hard to win when your opponent is having such a hot streak of dice...still a gentleman to play against.)

Less then two months until the big "gig", and plenty of messages to sift through...thank you all for making us old and new players welcome once more into the NAF/Bloodbowl fold...

...meanwhile I have much phonging to do to the apprentice goblin coach.... Embarassed Rolling Eyes Laughing

Also congrats to Tom's brother, he was under the radar, but continued his streak. I was part of that streak, but I do want to say it for all to hear, he has played in each Gen Con, as I have, and he is undefeated, a few ties, but no losses, and we know how tough the competition is with guys like Frank, Brian, Galvin, Wolfgang, and many many more.
I'll say thanks on his behalf as he doesn't often visit the forums.

His 5 year GenCon record is now 17 wins - 6 ties - 0 losses. He's always been a really good player but GenCon and him just seem to really work well together. With 4 more wins and 1 tie this year ... he may actually break the upper eschleon of the World rankings.

You would be risking getting kicked out of the Con. I saw them escort some guys out last year.

Now a nice sign to put at the tables by the tournament would work.

Glad everyone made it home ok, though mostly delayed. Still can't belive the Edmonton crew drove. Shocked

I'd also like to say Thank You to all those who attended GenCon this year. You were all kind enough to let the Mouseketeers run (pun intended) away with the Most Touchdowns award. Personally, my best showing at a tournament ever, finishing in 14th place with 3 wins, 1 loss, and 1 tie.

It was a totally excellent tournament guys. I had great fun, played 5 very cool players, and was lucky to win the 1st place trophy. Thanks to each of my opponents for making each game a fun one.

During the tournament, I played against 3 human teams and 2 dark elf teams! It definitely seemed an odd mix of teams.

I have to say I am amazed at Dennis' record. 17 wins, 6 ties, and 0 losses is just amazing!

Bring those Dwarfs next year Valen, and I'll give them another go (but I'll probably put the Khemri away for awhile now).
