I'm sure this is probably just a rookie oversight (one among many as I am constantly reminded! ), but I figured I would ask. I know I can hire Thrudd or Zara as a star player for an Amazon team, but are there any Big Guys they can use? I mean, would having Human listed on a Big Guys stats as an allied team mean they would also play for an Amazon team? Aren't Amazons human? |

Well then it could be argued that Nurgle's Rotters are Chaos, and that the Chaos dwarves are in fact dwarves with a chip on their shoulder and so by some small stretch of the imagination should have access to the deathroller!
Stop trying to bend rules!
Humans are humans and amazons are amazons. |

You could have said something about a Pop-Top for Laggerbottom...
But I'll take the good cheer instead during this Yule Season. ![Smile](modules/PNphpBB2/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

I'm not sure if anyone is still interested in the original topic - but it is clear from the Amazon fluff that they would never play on the same team as an Ogre or most of the other Big Guys, but they would be quite happy to hug a Treeman. |

Just wondering, of what fluff do you speak? Since they are not a WFB army, what fluff is there, something from Mordheim? Although, since there is a Lustrian experimental, there's the possibility of them teaming with a Kroxigar.
Oh and Rob, just a reminder, the Yule Season, for me, ends on 1/2/06. Be prepared... ![Twisted Evil](modules/PNphpBB2/images/smiles/icon_twisted.gif) |

Actually I was working from a vague memory, not anything substantial.
The only Fluff I know of is from Blood Bowl Magazine 1, when the team was introduced (with others). Here are some excerpts.
"In Amazon society the men are kept occupied doing simple menial tasks, leaving Amazon women to concentrate on higher things." (like Blood Bowl).
"Amazons excel in dense jungle terrain." (They like Treemen?).
"The Lizardmen have waged war upon the Amazons for millenia." (So they won't team with Kroxigors.) |

That does not exclude the ogre, it should just be female. |

OK, I can buy those as legit reasons, though it makes me question Thrud as a big guy for them, but there you go. |

Everyone knows that any Amazon society needs to at least have a couple of men around for procreation. Actually this makes the Thrudd inclusion perfect...A big healthy/strapping male who would be all too easy to control. Hey...I'm sure you've seen the Zon coach with the Whip.
I'm just guessing, but it looks like Thrudd way be...whipped. ![Smile](modules/PNphpBB2/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |
