I thought maybe we should leave Clan-skaven to seek sympaty with his "please pity me" column! Laughing

So let's talk about the Stunty Cup! Are there other people who would be interested in getting in on this? Teams of all-stunties? Depending on how many we get we could maybe even make this a fun one day thing.

Stunty Cup?

Would this be referring to the Goblin Tribal Leeg Tournament of Lore?

It very well could be! I just think the idea of all those little guys having their won tourney would be a hoot!

But for the record, the Tribal Leeg is where I got my inspiration for the swamp stadium that I have built, complete with chance for crocodile attack! (Would you have the book which mentions this and has that pic)?

I was planning on running the "Tribal Leeg" at Games Day 2005, with my goblin board being the final game. The winner would get...... the infamous bag o' rats! (real bag, rubber rats)

Hmm playing a complete team of Skinks sounds interesting. Would there be one Big Guy per team or just stunty?

I dunno - to have the one big guy might make shake things up a bit - and allow for the all important "toss the gobbo" play! But then again the thought of an all stunty team sounds like fun too!

I guess if we actually do this, then we could come to some common consensus or vote on it. Frankly, I am flexible and could go either way!

REBBL has a Stunty-only League based on the MBBL2 ruleset (PBeM). Not saying you should join up (though your more than welcome Wink ), but if you go to this thread you can download the ini file with the Stunty teams make-up. If you don't play PBeM just open it wih Notepad (or similar), it's pretty easy to read. In that you'll find (amonst others) a Halfling, Goblin and Skink team lists.

Hope it helps.

Spazz-
I would be down for (Interested in) this, but I'm assuming that you mean Games Day Canada...any word on when that might be in 2005?

Rob,

The GD 2005 in Canada will be in September this next year (or so rumour has it). At that one I would like to run the "Tribal leeg Tournament". Which will be a tournament for all teams.

The "Stunty Cup" (for lack of a better name) is just an idea that started bouncing around, and we could work out any time that suits us.

Announcement - The Stunty Cup is now going to be a small mini tourney run during "The Challenge of Q'ermitt" tournament.

It will be a separate event, and those who are unable (or unwilling) to attend "The Challenge" can attend the Stunty Cup for a cost of $6 Can, which will cover basic expenses.

Those attending "The Challenge of Q'ermitt" will not have to pay extra for this event.

Teams should be made up of stunty only players and special rules for weapons will be allowed. (No Big Guys!)

Any other suggestions are open, as this is primarily a tournament for fun - nothing to be taken too seriously! Smile

edit - I wanted to make it clear that the Stunty Cup will not be taking place at the same time as the Challenge of Q'ermitt - so players may play in both tournaments if they wish - the Stunty Cup will be on Saturday night after the first day of Q'ermitt play.

Will there be any skills to dole out? Can we get General Access for these skills?

Think about it...relative to playing another all stunty team...maybe that fat 'Fling has the stunty equivilent of Block or Stand Firm. Smile (If STR skills are also allowed.)

-Rob

EDIT: This is a joke. Don't get all squirlly on me.

Or maybe the gobbo has the sense to smear chocolate on his boots, to get the 'fling to go for it - instead of hitting him!

Like I said - this one is up to the people involved I will be very open to suggestions.

If it dopes happen that we have all gobbos though, it would be fun to play with the rules from the 2001 Annual. They are too funny!

Note- The goblin teams will be allowed their secret weapons - bought as star players with the associated costs as shown in the LRB 4.0

Halfling teams will be allowed to take extra ingredients for a cost of 80K.

Skink teams....... I dunno what they get..... pounded? Wink

In interest of getting home before my wife goes to bed, the Stunty Cup will be limited to eight players.

I have the committment of the following:

Clan-Skaven
VBZ
Grell
Bikerbob
Talons

Ben has made some passing remarks that led me to believe that he was going to be playing in this, and Da Scum should show the rest of da ladz 'ow itz dun! Care to pony up on this boys?

Pretty much the first eight paying people to tell me that they will be in the Stunty Cup are the ones who will be in, the five above are paid and confirmed.

The Stunty Cup will be run as follows:

Players will be randomly paired off and play until a touchdown is scored. Once the touchdown is scored, that person is declared the winner.

The four winners from the first round will go to play on the custom made Deathbowl Pitch! All Stunty Deathbowl! Should be hlarious! If you are unsure of the rules for Deathbowl check out House-Rulez.com.

Look forward to seeing you all out there!

You mean you're not just going to hand me the trophy? Sheesh! Trophy

I'll talk to the team accountants about increasing the amount of squigs being paid out...
