I know that secret weapon rules are only experimental but.......When a bomb is thrown when can a turnover occur?

If it is not accurate or is it only when someone from your team gets knocked over by the bomb by any means? Confused

I hope that is clear??!!!??!!***@@@!!!???

Please clarify. Question Confused

If it is inaccurate: NO
If the knocked over player was holding the ball: YES
If the knocked over player was not holding the ball: I don't know for sure (don't have time to look it up) but I think not

True, a bomb is not the ball

Actually it is a turnover:

LRB page 8, things that cause a TO, case 2:
A player from the moving team is knocked down or falls over.

Cheers

But it is not a turnover if a thrown goblin/halfling fails his landing but he wasn't holding the ball...
I just love rule loopholes Sad

True Smile
but then, the TTM rules clearly states that a bad landing is NOT A TURNOVER unless the little lad was the ball carrier, much like the new Off for a Bite rule says that an injuried thrall is not a TO unless he was the ball carrier.
So, unless the specified rule clearly says otherwise, any player knocked over is a TO.

Cheers

I was sure the Bomb rules state that it is not a turnover if you bomb one of your own players provided they do not have the ball. I don't have the LRB with me right now, but I am almost positive it gives that rule exception under the LRB bomb rules.

I just checked the Bomb description and the general Secret Weapons text, and I did'nt find any mention of an exception to the TO rules. Rolling Eyes

Maybe it was in a older version... Smile

Yeah, there is no mention of it not saying that it isn't a TO if it knocks down one of your players...so I'd say it would be a TO if it did happen.

Well, bluntly said:

Unless some rule CLEARLY SAYS IT DOESN'T (like TTM and OFAB) a knocked over player from the moving team is ALWAYS a TO.
Cool

Yep...that's how we'd rule it in our league!
