Secret Weapon rules will be in Season 3 of the MBBL, Darkson. And Norse will get a Chainsaw (I've already discussed revising the rules with JKL).
Also the Goblin team will be allowed one random secret weapon at the beginning of every game and be allowed to have four total on the team at one time and field as many as they want at once.
The Amazons will be a Chainsaw and maybe a Poisoned Dagger option (considering that my ex-wife was a backstabber ... seemed appropriate)
Poisoned Dagger for Chaos Dwarf team also.
Cheaper Deathroller also I think and removing the Ogre from the Dwarf team. .... need to talk this one through some more.
Any way over the next month I'll get the Secret Weapon rules that the MBBL will be testing and the BBRC rubber stamps posted to the website.

No weapons except star players that way they are rare. History of blood bowl says "no weapons were allowed in the arena" So if we start adding weapons we defeat the origional idea of "Nuffle". sure weapons are fun, but the last thing I want to see is teams built around the weapon, takes me back to the teams build around the foul play.
If you add that a team that fields a weapon automatically has the eye on them, then perhaps it's not so bad.
Keep the weapons to star players only. My opinion. |

Why not make it so you can only freeboot secret weapons? They'd stay rare if the price per freeboot is above 20,000 GP. |

Your BB history is faulty. Secret weapons are against the rules, although Dwarfs say otherwise as they like to think they invented the game. And many teams (Gobbos) and the fans don't care that weapons are banned.
Freebooting weapons seems illogical, big rich teams could easily by them. Perhaps, if you really want to limit them like that, the weapon should be lost (i.e. confiscated by the ref.) if the player is sent off during a match? So if your deathroller is sent off you would have to buy a new one if you wanted to use it again. It would make them very expensive.
If you want rarity perhaps you should make coaches roll for availability, like with Mordheim or Necromunder rare items, after each game. Coach gets one roll to see if he can find a weapon, must roll over rarity number to find it. |

If they put limitations other than money for secret weapons I have no problem with it, or if they put extra penalties for weapons. I just don't want a game full of weapons. It's like a game full of fouls in which the point is to kill again rather than play BB where one can happen to get killed.
Orcs play a rough game and enjoy the blocks. Elves play a finese game and ejoy the score. Orcs can play to beat up players, but they do it with blocks. I expect Orcs to be physical, but why do they need 10 weapons to do so. Perhaps a max #of weapons per team. |

All the rules I've seen have set a max of one weapon per team, except for Dwarves and Goblins. |
